Elara’s POV The moment Marianne left the dining room, a strange silence settled over the table. Blue, fortunately, seemed immune to such things. She continued eating happily, completely focused on telling Adrian about a drawing competition taking place at school next month. According to her, she was already planning to win first place. “Not planning,” she corrected herself confidently. “I am going to win.” Adrian chuckled. “And what makes you so certain?” Blue looked offended by the question. “Because I’m good.” The answer came so quickly that I couldn’t stop myself from laughing. Across the table, Adrian smiled genuinely “You certainly inherited confidence from somebody,” he said.
