The Bad boy of Pine Creek: My biker lover のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 181 - チャプター 190

Maddy's POV Nothing about Pine Creek feels real or safe anymore. Not the school where I stared at the teachers suspiciously, or my new home where I didn't feel safe from the grasp of Ace and the trauma of my dad's suicide. Mr. Chadwick's death was still a big shock in town. He had loomed so tall above us all that his death didn't feel real at all. His death made national news. All of a sudden, Pine Creek became the hub for all the media and conspiracy theorist nutjobs who were desperate to know how he could've died in jail. Mr. Chadwick had been stabbed to death in jail. None of the authorities could provide accurate reports as to how it happened. But we knew. Aston and I. Ace haunted our nightmares. When I slept, I could still see him welding that knife. His scarily-calm expression was the worst of it all. At least with everyone else, I knew exactly where we stood. Ace was different. He was shockingly connected. Take Mr. Lane's reassignment for instance. Mr. Lane knew the

Aston’s POV As soon as we stepped out of the elevator, I was pulled into a familiar world. Dense thickets of smoke curled in the air. The roaring of powerful bike engines. The screeching of tires against asphalt. The loud cheering of the crowd all felt too familiar. My blood tingled. My head pounded. I didn’t know my old self yet, but I could feel a familiar tinge of anger coursing through my veins. Riding gave me power. I felt that. The kind of power I could never feel anywhere else. I was addicted to it too. The danger. The surge of power underneath me when I sat atop my bike. The pride that came from taming my bike, maneuvering through treacherous roads, overcoming obstacles to beat other riders. I felt all of that here. “Welcome to the real world of Shadow Ryders!” Mason said, throwing his arms apart. Riders zoomed past us. Expert drivers. Nothing like the ones we had in Pine Creek. They were mostly adults with years of experience, sweeping their bikes through the

Maddy’s POVGiselle staggered about drunkenly but the clarity in her eyes never left. She fixed those cold eyes on the unhappy half-naked couple. She held onto the doorframe as she charged closer and closer into the room. “Tell me the truth right now, Ash…” she paused, swallowing hard.Ashley was shivering with fear. “Giselle,” she tried to whisper. Beside her, Cody looked shell-shocked.“Tell me…were you sleeping with my dad?” Giselle dropped the bomb.I swear it sounded like the entire party vanished and we were the only people left in the world.Ashley stuttered. “Giselle, it wasn’t like that!”Giselle grew colder, waving a dismissive hand in the air. “Were you sleeping with my dad?” she asked again, this time her voice was louder, banging against the wall. The volume of it startled Ashley. Her body quivered momentarily. I saw tears creeping out of her eyes. She was panicking, couldn't even think of a lie to tell. She had no choice but to admit the truth and reveal how she had betr

Maddy’s POVGiselle lay on the bed, tubes plugged into every crevice of her body, breathing for her. The doctors had worked hard on her all night long. Now, she was lying peacefully. She looked like a sleeping beauty.A knock came on the door. Ashley and Cody. They appeared in the room furtively, guilt written all over their faces. Ashley’s lips were quivering with fear. Her skin was pale white, especially her nails which she had been biting nervously.“How’s she doing?” Ashley asked.“She’s fine!” I replied in a crude voice. I didn’t mean to be rude to her, I was just irritated by her pretense. What did she think was going to happen when she got together with Giselle’s dad?The poor girl had been through so much already.“I didn’t mean for any of this to happen. You have to believe me,” Ashley said.I stared at her and Cody. “I’m so disappointed in both of you. You might not mean for it to happen, but it did and this is where we are now. You knew Giselle was fragile and yet you hurt

Maddy's POV I was rolling Giselle out of the hospital for fresh air when the message hit. UNKNOWN NUMBER attached photo: "He misses me just as much as I missed him! True love never dies!" I stopped, freezing in time. The picture was of Lexi in bed with Aston. She looked frazzled as if they had just finished running a marathon sex. She had that arrogant look on her face like she knew this was going to hurt. Her hands were around his neck, possessively. As if Aston was the prize she had finally won! My hand trembled, the phone nearly falling out of my hand. I wasn't sure what I was feeling: a mixture of rage and humiliation. After all this time, he still went back to her. To her? Was this a mistake? "Is everything okay, Maddy!?" Giselle's voice asked. I bobbed my head. "Yeah, I'm fine!" I tried to reply without cracking my voice. I made up my mind in that moment. Right there, I knew exactly I was done with him and this town! The next day, Aston arrived at the hospital while
