Chapter 151I took a step back as those words left Harry’s mouth. My entire body went weak. I trembled in a way I never had before. My hands grabbed the chair beside me for support because it felt like I could pass out at any moment.I looked at Harry.“What twins?” My voice shook as the words left my mouth.I waited for his reply. He had to be making a mistake.“There has to be some misunderstanding.” A nervous laugh came out of me even as my eyes filled with tears.Harry still didn’t say anything. His silence frightened me more than any answer ever could.“Don’t just stand there. Answer me!” I screamed.“Alia, I…”He stopped.“You what, Harry?” I cried. “Go on! I’m waiting. You’re not talking about Liam and Luna.”He looked away.My hands slowly curled into fists at my sides.“No…” I shook my head. “No, that’s impossible. They’re at home.”I turned to Drew “You saw them, didn’t you?. They were fine when we left.”Drew didn’t say a word. His face had gone pale, and I could see the pani

Chapter 153“Doctor…” Drew and I said at the same time.“How are they?” Our voices clashed together once again.Drew and I exchanged glances before looking back at the doctor.“You go first “Drew said taking a step back.My mum ,Alice and Harry all seemed to be surprised by Drew's concern but I wasn’t I knew why he was this way.I focused my attention back to the doctor. The doctor’s eyes moved between Drew and me for a moment. Then his eyes settled on me.“Who are you to the children?”“I’m their mother.” I stepped closer immediately. He gave a small nod before looking at Drew. “And you?”Drew opened his mouth, but no words came out. He hesitated for a second before Alice answered for him.“He’s a family friend.”The doctor nodded. “Alright.”My heart was beating so hard that I could hear it in my ears.“Please, can we go see the kids now? They are fine, right?”The doctor breathed out. “Your daughter is doing well.”My hands immediately went to my chest. “Oh, thank God.”I closed my

Chapter 155Alia’s POVI finally stepped out of the testing room after what felt like the longest few hours of my life.My legs felt heavy as I walked down the hallway. I had been poked, tested, and asked so many questions that I had stopped keeping track of what they were doing to me. All I cared about was getting back to Liam.A nurse walked beside me until we reached the end of the hallway.“Ma’am, you can go back to your family now. The results should be ready tomorrow morning.”My heart sank at those words.“Tomorrow morning?”The nurse nodded.“Isn’t there any way you can get the results tonight?” I asked desperately.“I’m sorry, ma’am. The doctors need time to go through everything properly.”I looked at her with frustration in my eyes.“Please,” I begged. “My son doesn’t have much time.”“I understand,” she said gently. “But rushing the results could cause mistakes. The doctors want to make sure everything is correct before they proceed.”I lowered my eyes. Tomorrow morning. It

Chapter 157I felt a tap on my shoulder and jerked up immediately. My eyes opened slowly. For a second, I forgot where I was until I saw Drew standing next to me, watching me with tired eyes. Then I turned to my side and saw Luna sleeping, with little bruises on her face, and my memories were back intact.I rubbed my eyes before turning my gaze to the window. I could see rays of sunlight coming from outside and reflecting on the corner of the room.“Shit,” I whispered before quickly turning toward Luna, afraid my voice had woken her up.Thankfully, she was still sleeping peacefully. I turned back to Drew.“I slept?” I asked, guilt immediately eating me up.“Alia, you were awake almost all through the night,” Drew said quietly. “You barely slept for thirty minutes. There’s no reason to be angry with yourself. You were obviously tired.”“That doesn’t matter. I shouldn’t have slept,” I muttered. “There’s no reason for me to sleep and rest when Liam…”My voice shook.I held myself and took

Chapter 159The silence around us after my last statement was so heavy that if a needle should drop on the floor right now, it would be as loud as a trumpet.Everyone was staring at me as I had suddenly grown another head, and I honestly understood the shock on their faces. Never in my life had I seen my mum, Alice, and Harry this shocked.Alice was the first to move. She stepped closer to me and slowly raised her hand toward my forehead.“Alia…” she called softly. “Are you okay?” she asked, her eyes searching my face. “Like… are you really okay?”“I’m fine, Alice.”She looked at my face again before looking at my mum.“Are you sure?”“Yes, Alice. I’m fine. I’m in my right senses.” i nodded.“This doesn’t make sense,” my mum suddenly said. “What are you saying, Alia? What do you mean your ex-husband Liam’s father? You were not even married to him when you had the twins. You had them in high school, remember?”She then turned to the doctor, her eyes suddenly teary.“Please help my daugh
