Killian POVWe all sat today. Something felt wrong; something did not feel right about this place, and I needed to know what. But Malachi and Rodger were already seeming impatient, and I did not know what to do anymore. There was nothing I could do as my answer tied. Then all of a sudden, Roja spoke out, as the restless person that he was.“Let’s just leave already. Nothing here looks suspicious. I think it was because we were just on the edge. That’s why we thought this place looked somewhat suspicious. There’s nothing here. She is not here at all. Let’s just leave already.”He said this as I looked at Malachi, who was also in support of what Rodger had just said. Then everything in me bonded as I felt it, this strong feeling as if something was wrong about this place. It felt as if I was this close—this close to finding her. And then I was just about to leave it behind. Then I decided to stall for time as I immediately made up a lie.“Okay, we would leave, but I need to just ease my

Malachi POVI was just sitting down here watching my brothers fight. I wondered why both of them ever seemed to agree with each other. Each one of us has been through tough times, but it does not mean that we always have to fight. They didn't really have to fight too much, and it was all just over a stranger who used to end up picking up the fight. But I could not support Killian in this presence because it would seem as if both Killian and I were planning against him, or both of us did not like him. That is who Rodger is, I thought to myself as I just sat down here watching the both of them argue with each other. Then, when I saw that Killian was getting too angry, it was very rare for Killian to get as angry as he was getting. If I did not do anything to stop both of them, they might end up throwing blows. So, I immediately went into their midst and pulled Rodger out.Killian must have thought that I supported Rodger over him. But what he did not know was that immediately we got out

Malachi POVI realized the pain and grief he must have gone through. “He never got to enjoy his life as a child. Never going to enjoy any of the privileges that Rodger and I got to enjoy. Even a mother’s love. He never got to enjoy it, unlike us. At least we were allowed. We caught some slack because we were allowed to play, both Rodger and I. But he was not even given that opportunity at all.”“He always had to train every day of his life as he went through the same pain that I had just gone through today. Only God knows how he must be feeling right now. We were even. We were never there. For in both Rodger and me, we were never there to console him in the days when he would have been hurt, whenever there sat his wounds for him or cried with him.”Now I felt the kind of pain that Killian also felt every day he trained, and maybe might have actually failed in his training. I came back to reality as I still found myself sitting on my bed, lost in thought. “I do not think Rodger is the

Malachi POV“I am not the villain here. Remember all he has done for us. Remember? He was never there for us. Why should I be there for him now? He was never there for us. Why did he not explain anything to us when we were young? That was because he never trusted us. He only wanted to be the one Father always saw. Father always saw him. Father took him to places, showed him the best people. Always wanted him to marry, get married to the best girl. And now that can never happen. Because Bea belongs to all three of us. And we can't allow him to be with her. Don’t you see?”“Now he’s saying that we can’t bear an heir, that he is the only one who can continue our family bloodline. What does he mean by that? No, we can’t allow him to take that from us. We can’t allow only him to be the heir. Even if we do not, if he ends up giving birth to the heir, why can’t we have children of our own? Why can’t we continue our family bloodline? He is just bluffing. That is what he always wants—to be the

Malachi POV“Yes, we already know who you are. I just thought that being our brother and seeing as the father we share the same blood, you would feel a little bit compassionate about him and at least ask him about his health or something. I mean, he almost died because of you, Killian. I can't even ask about his health. You can't even check up on him all these weeks now that he's awake; you just walk right in here and ask dumb questions. Please just leave already. If you know you do not care about us, just leave and stop adding to our troubles already. And please, next time you see your rogue friends, tell them to leave me, Rodger, and Malachi out of this. Because we are not related to you in any way.”Rodger said to him frustratingly as I looked at Rodger and Eldison.“It’s fine. You don’t have to be harsh. Just leave him alone.”But Rodger wouldn't listen to it.“No, don’t tell me you can’t stop me today, Malachi. Can’t you see for yourself? He doesn’t care about us. He only cares a
