บททั้งหมดของ The Alpha’s Mysterious Luna : บทที่ 151 - บทที่ 160

~Lindsey~ I take a deep breath as I wait outside of a hospital room. As next of kin, Jagger is in control of making decisions regarding Blaine until someone else arrives. That is, if someone else arrives. The warriors at the border corresponded with Walt who said that he didn’t care if Blaine lived or died. That only strong alphas should be in leadership positions. Despite their rivalry, Jagger is doing what he can to make informed decisions about Blaine. He’s even volunteering to do a skin graft to help the healing process. Dad says that Jagger will heal completely in a day or so, and Alpha Cam offered an extension on Jagger’s stay. Alpha Cam arrived a few minutes ago to check on him. I didn’t have the courage to ask about Brady, granted it wasn’t the time. He’s here for Blaine, not for me. Grant is keeping me company though. He says he still doesn’t trust Jagger alone with me. Something about Jagger looking like a knight in shining armor. I couldn’t quite make out the words he mu

~Lindsey~ Dad comes to find me a few hours after I come back to the waiting room after lunch. Brady is handling things here with his dad and probably will be held up until later this afternoon. Apparently they’re figuring out what to do with Blaine since his dad doesn’t want him. Jagger is ever the dutiful brother. I wish that Blaine was more deserving of it; after all he tried to usurp Jagger from behind the scenes, not to mention that he had a hand to play in several hardships that Jagger had to go through growing up. Regardless, he’s in good hands. I’m starting to come to terms with what happened. One of the social workers came to talk to me earlier and work through some of the shock. I can’t remember her name, but she said that Dad has been such a help around the hospital and that this was a way she could say thank you. Regardless of her motives, she’s good at what she does; it helped a lot. She suggested I come by again for a few weeks just to check in. As we head to the park

~Brady~ I mind link my parents to tell them what Gina found. Dad tells me to photograph for evidence and come to our floor of the packhouse to discuss the next steps. I do as I’m told and inform Gina to keep everything quiet. She assures me that only her most discreet people will take care of the clean up. Before I head to the top floor, I mind link Logan. “Keep Lindsey occupied for a few minutes.” “In the typical way I occupy she wolves, or do I need to get creative?” He jokes back. Before I can respond, he lets me know he’s joking and that they will take a walk in the back. A part of me wonders if he tells me his plan so that I can keep an eye on them. I make my way to my parents, opening the door to immediate chaos. “Um what’s going on?” I ask confused. I look around at the luggage strewn across the floor. I’m assuming Mom wreaked havoc on the closet that she shoves everything in. “Ugh just overlook it. I’ll deal with it later.” Mom waves her hands flustered. “Come sit

~Lindsey~ My mouth drops. Surely he’s lying. There’s no way that his dad could do that to his mate every single day. Right? “Logan, how would that even work? How-“ “I’m guessing you also heard the rumors. That he slept with Aviana too right?” My mouth is agape. Surely he’s not about to- “It’s all true. Every bit of it. My dad is a monster. Soraya is convinced that he’s going to reject my mom and take her as his mate.” I shake my head. “Wait. You brushed over the Aviana thing way too quickly. Isn’t that illegal?” “Nope. Aviana had her wolf and everything. She was of legal age. Apparently she heard my dad and her mom and wanted some of the action herself. So when my dad was really drunk, she seduced him. Never told her mom, but I caught her trying to sneak out of my house the next morning. Dad beat the hell out of me and threatened to hurt Mom if I ever told anyone.” I physically gag. How disgusting can someone be? I compose myself, thinking of her delicate condition. B

~Lindsey~The next two days fly by. Brady is so busy that I barely see him. Between school work and pack business, he’s swamped. I help him with his assignments, at least the ones for the classes that we both take. Colton and Grant sit in as well, grateful for the assistance. Colton runs morning nonshifter practice, while Grant runs the afternoon one. They planned that well: I catch a ride with Grant to the packhouse. He’s gracious enough to drop off Callie too, even though it’s a bit out of the way. Jagger and Blaine are still in Black Forest. Blaine is recovering, though he’s having some intense therapy. Apparently Brady damaged a lot that wasn’t visible, not to mention the mental and emotional turmoil that Blaine went through of almost dying. I got to see him before he woke up the day after everything happened. Seeing the wolf who tried to rape me, beat me, kill me, lying on a hospital bed only steps from death had a liberating effect on me, as grotesque as that may be. Knowing
