Shane’s POVI walked around my house slowly, because, yes, technically, this was still my house.I knew I had agreed to sign it over to Isla as part of the divorce. I knew the divorce wasn't final yet, but until that judge stamped that decree, this was still my home.And somebody had torn the damn place apart.I took a deep breath and walked into my bedroom.The first thing I did was make a couple of phone calls.The first one was to the police.Yeah.I called the police.“Chicago Police Department? What is your emergency?”“I just came home and my house has been ransacked. Nobody is here, and I don't know if anything was stolen.”“Do you know if anything is missing?”“No. I literally just walked in. I picked up my son from a sleepover, and when we got home, this is what I found. My son is sitting in the car right now. I told him to stay there.”“Okay, sir. We'll send someone over.”“Thank you. Everyone is already there.”I sighed as I made my way down the stairs, because it felt like we had been planning this damn sprinkler party for weeks.And technically, we had.We decided on the name Sprinkler Party because three of us were having babies around the same time. Multiple pregnancies. Multiple families.
