Amelia's POV The house was quiet when we got back. Not the bad kind of quiet. The kind that comes after a storm. Sam was on the couch with a blanket around her shoulders. There was a bandage on her wrist. Ivy was in the kitchen chair, holding an ice pack to the back of her head. Mom was hovering with tea that no one was drinking. The second Ivy saw me she stood up. Too fast. Wobbled. “Amelia,” she said. I ran to her. We hugged. Hard. She was shaking. “You came,” she whispered into my hair. “You actually came.”“I told you I would,” I said.
