Alle Kapitel von Replacing his murdered bride : Kapitel 1 – Kapitel 10

POV: Audrey The sinister scene before me made reflex tears stream down my tearline, ruining my mascara. I felt like my world was crumbling before me. Wanted to speak but I didn't know which felt heavier—my lips or my heart. Breathing suddenly felt like a crime. My parents stormed in immediately. Turning to my mom, I yelled, “Mom!!” My knuckles turned white from how hard i gripped my ruffle skirt. “This is some kind of prank right?” I inquired but my mom rushed past me into the bathroom. Crouching down slowly, she lifted Jimmie from the bathtub into a sitting position and touched her face lightly. Her face was elegantly dolled up and glistened in fine beads of sweat, her hair was packed into a loose messy bun, her locket sat prettily on her slender neck and, her blue sundress was stained at the waist hem, from the hairpin driven into her lower abdomen. “My poor child!” “Who could have done this to you!” my mom sobbed, tears streaming down her cheeks. My

Audrey Alexander and I walked down, the majestically designed aisle, of the party venue. The aisle was lined with a beautiful red carpet which was lavishly designed with lavenders, roses and tulips making them scream not just luxury but also royalty. The party room was an open garden, which was situated at the heart of the hotel. It had a kidney shaped swimming pool in it which looked comforting. They also illuminated stars from the lights beneath them, causing the pool’s surface to embody the sky. I could literally jump in it and forget all that just happened but, I wasn't a good swimmer. The cotton garlands lining the garden could almost be mistaken for a roof. It was beautifully decorated, with white and green roses, which was a matching color with the carpet grasses. The lights which hung from them, shone brightly and were being aided by the stars that embraced the sky. Everything looked perfect and for a moment, it felt as if the heavens were in support of what

POV: Audrey. The bright light seeping from the window nearly blinded me as my pupils struggled to adjust to it. Rubbing my hazy eyes, I sat up lazily. Butler Charles was standing near the curtains, hands clasped behind him like he had been waiting for me all morning. “Good morning Charles. You are reporting already?” I asked fuzzy. “yes ma'am. How was your night?” “Very well dear.” “Is Alexander home yet?” “No ma'am.” My face fell instantly. It's been two weeks since we got married and the last time I set my eyes on him was the party night. In the midst of his sneaky charade, he got a work call and vanished since then. The worst part? I couldn't even decipher if he was really tied up with work, avoiding me or if he had other women outside. Talk about taking me to your galaxy but you disappeared even before the wedding could end. “Ma'am, are you okay?” Charles asked, his voice low with concern. “Yeah sure…. I'm fine.” I said trying

POV: AUDREY. Mariah, Carey and Bethany were known as the clique since high school. Their friendship bond was very rigid but they were never up to any good. From bullying others to stealing from them and disrespecting the teachers, they eventually made a name for themselves. However, their parents owned big brands in the city, giving them license over a lot of mischief. I couldn't give a damn about them but, Mariah accusing my sister and best friend of having an affair behind my back, wasn't something I could sit with although, I didn't want to create a scene here. Taking deep breaths, I finished my makeup and headed to the party room. Soon, I arrived at the room and taking a closer look made me realize that Lexan was no longer that small kid whom I always fought for. The number of dignitaries in the party outnumbered the other guests. He really achieved a great feat becoming the most successful psychologist in the city in just three years. His intelligence was really

POV: ALEXANDER. I slammed the door behind her, slumping on the marble floor and pinched my temples hard. Ever since Jimmie got to be in my life, I have been spiraling and it's the reason why I haven't been home in a while. I didn't want to lose my cool on her but, all she does is push me to the edge, even without being close to me. She even dared my authority. Very gutsy of her. The rage I felt was pent up and, all I wanted to do right now was rip her so called best friend’s arms from his shoulders. He had no right to touch her– she was mine alone. “So much for getting me a dress.” Her snare was followed by the cracking sound of her dress. In shock, I barged into the house. “Hazel…..” I stopped in my tracks beholding an unexpected scene. “What do you think you are doing?” She yelled out as her hands flew to her boobs. “F*ck!!” The word escaped my lips as I turned around, abruptly swallowing hard and trying to configure what I just laid my eyes
