Cage rolled off the bed, the sound of knocking growing louder by the second. He huffed as his eyes shifted to the omega still nestled under the sheets. A small whimper came from Ezra and his feet almost returned him to the bed until the knock came again. He marched to the door in fast strides and pulled it open. Slade stood outside, an annoyed look on his face. "The men are ready" he looked over Cage's shoulders, staring right into the room. "Or have you changed your mind" Cage blocked his view of Ezra, growling low in his throat. "I'll be there now" he said stiffly, slamming the door in Slade's face. The sheets rustled behind him and he turned around to see Ezra sitting up and stretching his arms above his head. The morning sunlight bathed his skin, giving it an unnatural glow that captured Cage's attention. Ezra caught his gaze, a dreamy smile slipping onto his lips and Cage's chest rumbled again as he looked away from the omega. "Last night was a surprise" Cage mumbled.
