Draven’s POV I finally talked Elena into coming downstairs for dinner. It had taken the better part of twenty minutes, a handful of eye rolls, and enough muttered curse words to make me question whether I was winning the argument or simply wearing her down. In the end she let out an exaggerated sigh, pointed a finger at me, and warned, “If Darren says one smart-ass thing, I’m going right back upstairs.” “I’ll handle Darren,” a small chuckle escaped me before I realized it. She snorted as she disappeared into the bathroom. “You can’t even handle Darren.” I couldn’t argue with that. I don’t think anyone can handle him.
