Ivy's POVToday was the Ballon d'Or award, also known as the award given to the best footballer of the year, and Dante Solano would be winning it.I knew this because for the five years I had known Dante, winning the Ballon d'Or was all he had ever wanted, and this year he scored more goals than any footballer out there. He worked hard for this, and I was there at every pitch, every training session, cheering him on and showing the world how much he worked, so everyone knew this year he was going to win for sure, and nothing would make me happier than seeing my best friend on that stage doing what he does best.Being perfect. The truth was that Dante and I weren’t just client and worker. He was my best friend, and also the man I had been madly in love with for five years. To everyone else, I was nothing but a PR manager who always made sure the team looked flawless on camera, and to the netizens they were dreamy and hardworking, but to Dante I was the "best thing that has ever happene

VossI didn’t need five years to know Dante wouldn’t know when he had something priceless right before him. All I needed was a second. The second I saw her five years ago, working for Ashcombe and personally with Dante, I knew a day like this would come, and I hate to admit that I was patiently waiting for it, and it finally arrived.“What? What are you looking for here?” She asked, looking fazed by my sudden appearance.I couldn’t possibly tell her that I knew why she left the hall, or that I came to console her about the news, which obviously tore her apart.“You don’t just walk around a place like this without a chauffeur, young lady.” I said steadily, as I watched her reaction to what I just said.First she was confused, then annoyed.“Chauffeur? I am a full-grown woman! And I can protect myself. I don’t need anyone, and most definitely not you, Voss,” she said in her bossy tone that tickled my fancy.Even though I knew she was serious, I couldn’t help but smirk.“I still won’t le

Ivy HartWhy would he be here? Of all the times he wants to visit the Solano airport, he visits after I arrive?Voss never arrived at the airport when Dante was here. They had made it a norm to only arrive two hours after the other had left.So why was he here? Why now?I watched as he walked elegantly toward the port. He was on a call and hadn’t made eye contact with me, and whoever he was talking to on the phone must seriously be pissing him off because he looked more irritated than usual.Though Voss never looked excited, well except last night in the bathroom when he walked in and made that ridiculous offer. Not just that.Last night something happened in that bathroom that had never happened before. I knew Voss Solano had a special power when it came to making my heart beat in irregular paces, mostly because he was a pro rage baiter who happened to know how to use a single word to get to my nerves, but yesterday was different. It was warm.He had his hands on my cheeks, and his e

Ivy's POVI watched as Dante slowly turned red when he noticed Voss smiling back at me as he approached, Voss came toward the stairs his eyes not leaving mine all throughout."I am sorry I let you leave with my thoughts." He mouthed to me, audibly enough that Dante hears it but also just Dante, and I could tell from the mischievous grin on his lips that he was doing this solely because of Dante.I didn't protest.I didn't find a fault in it either, why? Because I was pissed to the bone and Voss, being such a force of nature, was the only person I knew who could elevate this mood, just like he did earlier."It's fine." I said back smiling at him, "all that matters is that you are here." I added smiling back at him, when Voss reaches the stairs I found myself leaning in, and freely stretching my hands forward,he took it and laced a kiss on my knuckles. I felt tingles crawling up my body, and gently warming my heart, so much that I found myself blushing a little."Oh wow, both of you ar

IvyIt's just Dante, how hard could it be to look him in the eye and tell him I am unaffected, I mean I have done it for the past five years, waking up and looking him in the eye like he didn't make my heart beat.I hesitated to open the door, but eventually I did, then I squared my shoulders, as I prepared myself to look him in the eye and tell him to ‘fuck up’ hypothetically. He walked into the room, his scent hit me first and I could feel my resolve crumbling, if Zel was here she was going to smack me in the head and tell me to brace up.I cleared my throat then closed the door behind me.“What are you looking for Dante, I was sleeping.”He scoffed. “You never let sleep stop me from seeing you Ivy, what's going on?”I rolled my eyes, I didn't let common sense stop me from seeing you either, but we are not going to talk about that now are we?I didn't say anything I just readjusted my clothes, then walked toward him.“I was sleeping.” I implied.“Fine I am sorry for waking you up, I
