All Chapters of One Of the Guys Part 2: Chapter 31 - Chapter 40

“Thank you everyone. Everything is so beautiful. I am going to head off to bed now. I appreciate all of the gifts. I love you guys,” I said, looking at Keegan a little too long when I said those words. Him no longer being in love with me was more difficult for me to grasp than I thought. I thought perhaps he was lying when he took those words back, but with the lack of a present this year, it was obvious that it was no mistake that he denied me those eight little letters. Everyone headed off to their rooms, except for Keegan. He gave the girls the guest room and he took the couch for the night, which was respectable. I sat looking at all of the gifts I had received after I washed my face and tied down my hair for the night. I loved everything, even the wrapping paper that everyone used. It was all so thoughtful. Casey refused to send my gift the day before my birthday. She always gave it to me the day of my birthday. I was excited to see her. I sent her a quick text, letting her k

The next morning, I woke up smiling. I was 18 and fully a woman now. Keegan had gone back to the couch after we cuddled for an hour. Oh my god! I had sex with Keegan last night. He rubbed my back afterwards and kept asking me if I was alright. He was so caring during and after. I truly just loved this man with all my heart. I did not regret sharing that moment with him. However, I wasn’t one hundred percent sure that it was his first time as well and I didn’t dare ask him. I went to the bathroom so that I could take a shower. I had to get this smell off of me. I was too nervous to shower last night. I feared our moms had heard us and I was afraid what they would do or say if I had gotten up to shower at one o’clock in the morning. I cleaned myself as best I could with sanitary wipes and made due. My only regret is that we weren’t safe. My mom had given me a ton of talks about the safety of premarital sex, but I chose to ignore it. I felt all kinds of feelings. I was confused, in pain

I agreed, forcing a small smile as she headed back downstairs to finish opening gifts with Baylen. I watched her disappear through the doorway before I finally let out the breath I hadn’t realized I was holding. Baylen had gotten her a promise ring. She had told me earlier, practically glowing with excitement, and apparently he was planning to give it to her today. I could already picture the way she would react when she opened the little box. She deserved that kind of happiness. She deserved someone who was completely sure about her. My stomach twisted at the thought. My phone buzzed in my hand. I glanced down, expecting another notification from the family group chat, but my heart sank when I saw Jagger’s name across the screen. For a second, I just stared at it. After everything that happened last night, seeing her name made the guilt I’d been trying to push away come rushing back. I opened the message. “Are you excited for Friendsmas with Jeff? 😉” Despite everything, I

“Brees, he went to Isadora’s last night and he didn’t come home or back to your house last night,” Quinn said. “I don't believe that. There is no way he went and spent the night with Izzy after we… I just don’t think he would do that to me,” I said, choking on my words. Quinn got up and grabbed her car keys, “Come on. Get your stuff on and let’s go find out if he did in fact do this to you,” she said. “Umm, I don’t know if we should,” I said, hesitating to move.“No. He doesn’t get to lead you on like this. If Keegan is sleeping over at her house, you should know,” she said, pulling me off of the couch by my arms.I decided we could drive by her house. I didn’t want them to see us, but I had to know if he was there. As we rounded the corner to the Jenning’s beautiful mansion Isadora lived in, my stomach dropped. Sitting there in her circular driveway was Keegan’s car. I gasped. I could not believe he had really stayed the night at her house. “Brees, what should we do?” Quinn aske

Baylen stood between them both. “It’s not going down like that in my house guys. You both need to cool down,” Baylen said, pointing to opposite sides of the room. Jeff walked over by the front door and Keegan went into the kitchen. I followed Jeff. He seemed really irritated with me.“Brees, I like you much more than I should. I know this is supposed to be casual, but man if I haven’t fallen in love with you over the last four months,” he said, shyly hiding his face from my view.I turned him around towards me and hugged him. “Jeff, I can’t give you all of myself right now and I don’t want to break your heart,” I said, cupping his face with one hand. He pressed his hand gently over mine. He grimaced a bit as if he knew exactly what I was going to say. “I did this. I messed up and now I have to deal with that Brees. If you can ever truly forgive me and let me into your heart, let me know,” he said, gently kissing my lips. I tried to kiss him back, but he pulled away. He grabbed hi
