I hit submit, and a message popped up on the application system.[Application successful. At first light, I dug out my suitcase. Only once I started packing did I realize how little here actually belonged to me. Almost everything in the apartment was stuff I'd prepared for them. Caleb's POVCaleb instinctively gripped his phone tighter. "She said so. She's going away to clear her head."The second it came out, he caught himself. Even he was caught off guard.Luna pressed him. Caleb's POVThe scent he'd once known so well now set off a tidal wave in Caleb's chest. His wolf spirit shuddered inside him, like a current was coursing through his whole body. That pleasure, sinking down to his very bones, made the answer surface in him on pure instinct.Destined mate.Once a wolf comes of age, they can identify their destined mate by scent.Caleb lowered his head and stared at the scarf in his hands. His throat tightened. So the moon goddess had blessed him long ago, and he'd never even noticed.Caleb suddenly thought of that game they'd played for over ten years.
