As a child, Rohan is forced to flee from Jade Earth to the realm of mortals; after witnessing the brutal and painful murder of his mother. Then closing his heart to mankind, Rohan lives in mental seclusion as a seed of guilt planted deep within his heart grows. However, a fascination on the new found realm flourishes after he meets Danica Stewart; a carefree Parapsychologist who is hell-bent on uncovering the mystery behind her parent’s sudden death. What happens then, when unknown and untold truths are brought to the light. How far can Rohan and Danica go to watch how fate unveils the predestined chapters of their lives, where bluebloods and mortals do not coexist.

ONE: To the memories not forgotten.
RohanIn my dreams, I am always running and I have never found the courage to turn back.Maybe I just have become indifferent or maybe I'm just too scared. To the memories not forgotten, I habour them within; shaping my years and the growing pains from which the very chapters of my life started. Dreams and utopias put in place, I feel my soul free falling into calm waters and then once again, the scent of home welcomes me. That familiar scent like the earth after rain greets me before the meadow of autumn grasses blows with the wind. "Rohan!" Her voice in the wind beats against my ears, caressing my troubled heart as I laugh out loud, running through the meadow."Here, mother." I shout, hiding behind a tall patch of grasses. In the distance, a quiet brook of crystal clear water within which jade stones sparkled, flows. Then, catching the sunset yellow in the horizon, I pause to marvel at its beauty embellishing the dull appearance of our nine moons."I'm going to get you. Grrrrrh!"

TWO: SPI Agent Stewart
Danica*Beeeeeeep! The elongated ring startles me to consciousness. I struggle with the duvet, falling shortly off the bed with a dull but painful thud."Ughhh... stretching my hands, I grope about the nightstand until I feel and slam the alarm clock. Then yawning hard, I pry my eyes open, just before daylight attacks them, pricking like tiny needles. I shut them immediately, and then quickly, I move away from the light before trying to open them again with rapid blinks."Shit... I'm late." Sighting the red coloured digital time on the nightstand, I grab the clock tightly with wide eyes. It rang late again."Brie's going to kill me." I throw the alarm clock and jump out of bed.In a flash, I am in and out of the bathroom, packing my short hair in a messy bun. Then throwing on a light blue jeans trouser and a nude oversized jumper, I reach for my glasses on nightstand. Then after gently placing my laptop in a bag, I put on a pair of heels."Keys... where are my keys." In less than ten

THREE: Who are you Danica Stewart?
RohanWatching Westminster's bridge through the TV takes me back to watching it physically as a four year old, mourning the destruction of his people.Seeing this meant only one thing, the gate to the realm of mortals has been taken and they have begun attacking the red bloods."You are not wrong." Arlan speaks out. He must have read my thoughts.Turning to look at him, he meets my eyes."They won't." He says again.I replay Arlan's statement in my head and I remember hearing that same statement again and again as a child. It’s been twenty five years, a long period for a boy to become a man. One where that boy can no more be deceived by hearsay.Deep down I know a war is coming or it might be already here.“But why now? Why are they hiding the bodies instead of coming out plainly like they did on Jade Earth?” I draw my gaze back to the TV.Demons cannot hunt in the day here, the sun is a threat. They can only attack at night.” “But that doesn’t stop them. Why are they choosing to att

FOUR: Cake Parfait 1
Danica"Dani, slow down for mom. Please don't run too far." Mom's voice echoes in my mind on the night of my birthday; the last night I spent with my parents.Laughing, I splash about the puddles of water on the tarred pedestrian path as we neared Westminster Bridge. "Seriously Dani, I need you to stop now."Mom cautions."Listen to your mom Dani." Dad's voice halts me to a stop and I turn with a pout."But I want to play some more, it's my birthday." I demand with an angry tone.As carefree as I am, I continued with splashes about more puddles when suddenly,"Danica Stewart..." Mom shouts but at the same time, a bright light illuminates the dark environment; blinding my sight momentarily. I squat quickly on the ground with hammering heart; startled from the sudden shock, I begin to cry."Mom..." I scream, prying my eyes open after a brief moment of silence; after I didn’t hear a single sound from my parents or a pair of hands pulling me into a warm embrace, one I’m very much familia

Five: Cake Parfait II
Rohan"What do you think you are doing?" My voice comes out lower than I expected. I can hear the coldness seeping out.Without a word, she freezes amidst wiping off the creamy patch on my shirt."Did you see anyone else around here?" I raise an eyebrow, trying hard to contain the bubbling anger threatening to explode inside me.For a minute, fear masks her expression as her gaze darts about, from me to the receptionist and back to the now stained patch on my shirt.Silence weighs heavily as I keep my eyes locked on her, waiting on at least an apology of some sort. That's was my parfait, I hadn't even had a bite of the creamy goodness and now it's ruined. Her lips quiver as she tries to mutter inaudible words, when suddenly; her gaze becomes firm with a scroll squeezing her brows."Do you have any proof that I did that? Of course, there is the receptionist; he could have been the one.""What?" My mind goes blank for a minute and I remain utterly dumbfounded. I never saw that coming.F

Six: The Shadow man
Danica“What is that supposed to mean? Excuse me? Hey!” I bite my lips aggressively, watching the back view of the most annoying human being in the universe. And to think I was admiring it before. Looking up in disbelief, reliving the embarrassing moment I just endured; I release a suppressed laughter. That moment, I feel eyes boring into me from the other diners in the restaurant but what do I care, I’m not coming back here anyway.Who does he think he is to say that? I scoff, taking yet another look as he disappears through the door. Then turning back to the receptionist, “five thousand pounds huh?” I begin to open my bag to remove my credit card.“I’ll just have to work extra,” I sigh, stretching out the card forcefully towards the now smiling man.“That won’t be necessary miss; the cup has been paid for already.” He says politely.“What? Oh really?” I withdraw the card quickly. “Then, I will take my leave.” Looking around once more, I ignore the expressions turning in my direction

SEVEN: Arlan’s Teachings
Rohan“One moment you’re all defensive and suddenly you’re not? What is wrong with you Rohan?” Arlan releases a long sigh.“Nothing.” Choosing to avoid Arlan’s gaze, I stand and leave to my bedroom.I’ve had a long day, one I hope to end well some alone peace and probably a breath of fresh air later. The trauma of being stained with cake parfait and the criminal openly denying it still annoys me.However that won’t stop me from having parfaits, never.Sighing hard, I sink into the soft sheets, closing my eyes almost immediately, as if that will help me unsee the images in my head. About a minute later, I sit up and pull off the shirt, feeling grateful that Arlan did not notice it, I then take a quick shower. How was I supposed to tell Arlan I had been shoved by a woman who openly denied her actions and that same woman is the one I’m supposed to endorse?Oh hell no, I will be crazy to give my approval to that. That is bound to go into laundry later. I drop the cloth into a laundry ba

DanicaI have had many thoughts to life; friendship, family, love, hatred, loneliness, happiness and even death but I have never thought as to how I will die.The last I remember was having a few drinks with Harry and Brie. Brie warned me, she didn’t want me to come here but I overlooked her words.I guess one only comes to a realization of the importance of something when one desperately needs it.
