“Talia! I’ve been waiting for you for almost an hour!” Maureen kept on complaining to me from the other line while I was busy walking fast down the stairways. Can’t she wait? I am carrying her a bunch of things! I was even bumping against the people with an opposite path of mine! I was on the verge of stumbling down the floor! My gosh!

“I am sorry, okay? Just wait for me, ugh! Excuse me, Miss!” I kept on pushing myself through the sea of people. Damn it! Why do we have to hurry this time when we can finish our project in the former days? Tsk! We were just too lazy these past few days. So annoying!

I waited for the elevator to open. I cannot stay still. I keep on stomping my feet because of anticipation. My patience can’t! I have to fucking hurry! I don’t want our group to pass our proposal late!

"Talia, half on an hour left! We still have to finish some slides!” Maureen sounded so nervous and worried. I just shook my head and looked up, I then closed my eyes. I felt dizzy.

“Don’t worry, our slides were almost finished. Just prepare your things there. I am already near,” I told her. Yes, I was about to finish it last night but I fell asleep all of a sudden! It is a good thing that I worked for it last night even just a bit. We will worry less this time.

Once the elevator opened, I went inside like my life was based there. Most of the employees’ eyes widened in surprise at what I did. I bet they just saw me move too fast that they weren’t able to expect me to do that. I just forced a smile at them and looked away in shame.

I just waited for the elevator to stop from the 13th floor where the meeting will be held. When the elevator opened, I instantly went out and was about to go my way when I bumped against someone. I groaned in annoyance when the things I was carrying fell down the floor. Damn it!

I thought the guy that I bumped against to will help me get my things back with me. But when he walked past my way, my eyes widened, and followed him with my eye. What the hell? “Hey, you!” I called but he did not even look back to see me calling. “You brat!”

I did not expect my next move. I just found myself getting stared at by everyone because I just threw the guy a book from his back! I knew I have thrown it hard because it made a loud sound against his back and fell down the ground afterward.

I closed my eyes in shame. Oh, no, please. I have to get hurry! I should not have put attention to him and just gone straight to our meeting room! Once I opened my eyes, I jumped in horror because the man was already standing in front of me with his sharp and different gaze. I felt uneasy all of a sudden. My heart sprints more.

“Why did you do that?” he asked in monotone, yet, with a whiff of anger. I just knew that his suit has a tiny scar because of the wiry book I have thrown at him!

I gulped. What should I say? I have to get hurry and go to the meeting room as soon as I can because with just a blink, our proposal might get rejected and we will just find our team jobless!

"Uh..." I stuttered. Really, employees were glancing in our direction. What a troublesome, Talia! I just want to slap and scold myself. "Sorry, Mister! But... I have to go now! I am sorry! I will just apologize to you later!"

I was about to run away when he held my arms all of a sudden just to stop me. Freak. I have to go now! I looked down at my wristwatch and bit my lower lip. Two minutes left, bitch. I hope they are already ready when I arrive!
