"Are you going to kill me too?" Olivia muttered weakly. "No little pet, I have other plans for you," the deep voice replied. Pedro's gaze was sinister as he grabbed her by the throat "You owe me now, Olivia." "W-what do you want from me?" she asked, trembling in fear, she looked up to meet the menacing figure of Pedro Ramirez. "I want your loyalty, your obedience, your body," he whispered seductively with a glint of determination in his eyes. Olivia thought she had found love and security with Luciano, but on her birthday, her world turned into a nightmare. With her family brutally taken from her and her own life hanging by a thread, she is rescued by the enigmatic Pedro Ramirez. Little does she know, she has traded one dangerous man for another. As Olivia is drawn deeper into Pedro's world of power and violence, she becomes fixated on seeking vengeance for her family's murder. But as she becomes entangled in the dark and seductive world of the mafia, Olivia realizes she may have gotten more than she bargained for, and the line between love and hate becomes dangerously blurred. Can she navigate the treacherous world of the underground and carve out her own path of retribution, or will she become another pawn in Pedro's deadly game?

My eyes were getting blurry by the second. In such cases, one would see nothing but blurred images that made no sense whatsoever, and here I was sitting like a prisoner staring at my phone in my hands as I counted down to the time I would stop hearing that high-pitched unpleasant voice speaking through a microphone.
If I had the power to cry, I swear I'd be on the floor right now sobbing. Unfortunately, I was confined in this huge room full of different people, of all shapes and sizes.
Both men and women. The only thing I regretted was being late for class; hence I ended up sitting at the back and everyone knew what happened.
“Love is something we all want…a man wants love…a woman wants love…it's the same old story of falling in love and making fake promises to each other” the woman who was making me see fog in broad daylight continued talking. I wanted so badly to listen to her, unfortunately these were the days I just wanted to get up from my seat. Match down to the front and shove my fist down her throat so that she could shut up.
“Has she been dumped again?” a girl sitting next to me was also wondering the same thing. I moved my eyes from my phone and gave her a lazy glance, telling her I was also thinking the same thing.
My head tilted to the front and yes. She was standing there in a ridiculously long dress. For someone who had an hourglass figure, she had zero sense of fashion.
“Just look at her dress” the same girl whispered again and this time I looked at her with full eyes. I wasn't in the mood to cause trouble, especially with my well-known reputation.
I decided to keep quiet and listened as the lesson proceeded, unfortunately the girl didn't want to leave me in peace.
“Quit it Syd…we have class” I whispered back for my foolish best friend to keep her mouth shut, and she just shrugged and rolled her eyes at me as we sat there listening to the lecturer speak. There were like 50 people in the large hall and the lady in the front was reciting love poems.
“How is this related to law school…?” my best Sydney muttered to herself, and I had the urge to laugh. The boys behind me were sleeping, so were the people to the sides.
Nothing bored us to death than having Ms. Gomez for the first class session. She was boring and judgmental, especially about falling in love.
According to her, love didn't exist and men were all pigs. I would have said that was her opinion, unfortunately it was an unfortunate night when she caught me with my boyfriend.
A man she said was too old to be my boyfriend because I was too young, and he was deceiving me. Since then, all she ever did was preach about the unholiness of falling in love.
“Huh” a gasp left my mouth when I felt something move on the floor. I was wearing a short dress with sneakers; hence my legs were exposed, and I felt some feathery caress me.
The thing was making grunting noises as it moved carelessly on the tiled floor, which was hard for anyone not to hear.
“What is it?” Sydney leaned down and whispered, but I was frozen in place. The entire front roll turned to look at me at the same time, getting Ms. Gomez's attention who stopped talking and adjusted her ridiculously large specs…my throat went dry when I felt a soft little tongue lick me repeatedly.
“Oh no” I mouthed, but the words were audible. By now, the entire classroom was alive as they fixed their vampire-like eyes on me.
“Ms. Altamirano…any problem?” the lecturer asked, saying my surname as she advanced slowly to the back seat. I sucked in my breath and used my foot to shove the thing away or better yet make it crawl back into my purse.
“No, no…she's fine… actually…she got…a cockroach is in her dress” Sydney was the one who blurted out as she stood up and blocked me by standing in front of Ms. Gomez before she made her way to me.
In such cases, all I had to do was cry because Homie was about to get me into boiling soup. The last time this happened, Ms. Gomez threw a fit.
“A cockroach… Sydney…do I look like a fool to you?” Ms. Gomez said narrowing her eyes shrewdly, her voice as high as a cackling witch and like every time Sydney came up with a ridiculous excuse,
Ms. Gomez wasn't so pleased as she shoved Sydney out of the way and the queen of the underworld stood before me with a deadly look. I wondered why her evilness didn't stop, especially with the large specs she wore.
“It's a cockroach…it must have…” I didn't even finish my sen when the thing I was trying to shove inside my bag with my foot finally barked, all because I accidentally stepped on her tail.
*bark, bark.*
“Ahh!” the entire class gasped in unison as if it were a great show to watch, and I was doomed as Ms. Gomez took off her specs and her sharp cat-like brown eyes showed how unpleasant she was
“Ms. Altamirano…do you take your education seriously? ''she spat out and lowered down. I was about to stop her from…but she did it anyway, carried my poor cute little Pomeranian puppy by the tail and my dear Homie was making sounds knowing she was in pain.
“Ms… I mean… I…”
“Your father is a great lawyer…well known for generations to come…but you don't take your education seriously” and the lecturing about my dad continued.
I know my papa was a great man. A top lawyer who never lost a case and since I decided to be like him and study law. I was the center of the school.
“Bringing to class this smelly thing!” she said bitterly as she disrespected my puppy like it was nothing. It wasn't my fault Homie sneaked into my bag without my knowledge.
“Mrs.… I mean Ms. Gomez, it's… I didn't” it was useless defending myself when the thing showed itself. Furthermore, I had no idea that my puppy followed me here.
“This is why young girls should focus more on getting a good education, not standing in the corners of men!” Ms. Gomez spat out, preaching to the entire class, that all I did was stand in corners with men.
As much as I hated hearing criticism, I did what my mother always told me. Let adults speak and never interrupt them, even if what was being said was a lie.
I shrunk in my seat as I listened to what the lady had to say. I knew she would remind me of my love affair with a handsome man and soon-to-be mayor of the town. This was just a one-time thing of trouble… what else could go wrong.
“Olivia! Sis, help me!” like a nightmare, the classroom door opened and the worst thing happened. And as if Ms. Gomez wasn't already angry at me for bringing my dog.
Another problem came, another fool who couldn't stay a day without bothering me, barged into our class and the lecturer's expression darkened. This was horrible.
With my parents out of town, I was the mother and father to someone so careless.
**Four Years Later**"Mommy, mommy watch me fly!" A little girl's giggles erupted throughout the room. "Sweetie, stop it now!" A woman shouted from afar but the girl didn't stop giggling. "Madam, leave her…kids her age are like this," an elderly lady told the woman beside her who was busy decorating a cake. The woman was dressed in a halter-neck, sleeveless blue dress which hugged her voluptuous figure in the right places. She was nothing but a beauty to behold. Her smile was as charming and serene as the calm waters of the sea. Her long blonde hair cascaded to her in a wavy way."She can hurt herself…she's too much," it was none other than Olivia who said with a frown and continued decorating the cake."It's her fourth birthday… like every year you bake a cake for her…she's lucky to have a caring mother like you," the elderly who was none other than her daughter's nanny said. Her boss was a working class woman. She was always busy with her clients. But when it came to her daughter,
After that dreadful night, many lives were lost. Antonia was arrested for attempted murder. However, she later killed herself in prison after hearing about the death of her two lovely sons. Bianca went crazy after everything. She was admitted to the asylum to get better. “It's been 5 months Pedro…please come back,” Olivia whispered as she ran her hand over the concrete granite with Pedro's name engraved in it. Tears trickled down her face. The despair of not having the man she loved beside her. “I'm five months pregnant…don't you want to see our baby,” she added as her hand shifted to her belly. After all that, she went through. She and Pedro's child survived, but he didn't. She missed him a lot. It didn't feel real that the man she loved more than anything was no more. They didn't get to enjoy each other's company. “Why did you do this…why did you make me love you!” A yell escaped her trembling lips, everything seemed dark. Her life was without colors. Everything was back to norma
The rain stopped immediately as dawn approached. The sun rose at its full peak. The city which always seemed lively was like a dead jungle. No life, like a nightmare. Olivia was still on her knees by the edge of the cliff waiting for the man she loved to come back. Her clothes which had been drenched with both rain and blood had dried up. The police were running to and from retrieving dead bodies and putting them in the ambulance. Ira stood by Olivia, afraid of what to say to her. This was a sad moment for her. The fact that Pedro was no more pained, not just her. Both those who had followed him for years."She needs to come home," Jordan whispered to Ira, it was a shame they showed up when it was too late. But Pedro had ordered them to save Zane and Sydney. Although Zane was shot in the arm, he was recuperating in the hospital. "He has to be here…he isn't…I'll wait for him," she wasn't going to leave until she saw Pedro. Ira and Jordan exchanged glances and knew how painful it was
“You are naive…do you think I'll let this slut go?” Bruce yelled while his men held Luciano down from escaping. Olivia was unconscious and getting hoisted near the cliff while tied up.“You traitor…you killed your brother!” Luciano yelled and tried to get free,. Unfortunately, the men had injected him with something which made him helpless.“Everything…was planned by you…you deceived everyone,” he didn't know there was a devil far more heartless behind Everything. He betrayed Olivia's trust by pretending to love her, only to attempt to kill her and her family. All those years, he was made to believe Olivia's father was responsible for his father's cruel death.“I killed him… I made those inmates torture him…then I sent someone to finish him off” Bruce remarked sarcastically and kicked Luciano in the gut. Despite the pain, Luciano didn't dare show it. Flickering his eyes open, he tried moving toward where Olivia was tied up in midair, but he could. “I hate you…you ruined people's live
Nothing broke Olivia's heart more than seeing her loved ones dying before her eyes. Sydney was in agony, crying as she tried to make sense of what had happened. Alfredo was dead. Despite everything that happened, Olivia was aware of how Sydney felt about him. He was her first love. She still recalled how the two met, Olivia couldn't help but hug Sydney to comfort her."That's enough, don't blame yourself," Olivia whispered and caged Sydney in her arms. However, Sydney was uncontrollably weeping her heart out. Even Zane standing on the sidelines felt his heart ache. Alfredo wasn't a bad guy, he was just born into a family who caused others pain."He saved me…sobs…he…I killed him" Sydney cried her heart out Zane went on his knees and pried her off Olivia. He couldn't take it anymore. "And he doesn't want you to cry like this…pull yourself together," he whispered and planted a kiss on her cheek, with the rain pouring heavily, the scenery was something which broke Olivia's heart."We nee
"Agh! L-let.." Marcos tried to catch his breath but with each breath he felt a sharp pain in his chest. Pedro cradled the man in his arms trying by all means to stop the bleeding on his chest but he couldn't. Blood was oozing out like a fountain. "Stop talking…I'll have my men take you to the hospital," Pedro said knowing he would make sure Marcos was safe, unfortunately, Marcos let out a sarcastic laugh. "L-leave me…it's…it's no point…" even if Pedro managed to destroy the room and rescue him. Marcos knew he wouldn't last a day. He was dead, there was no saving him. "I didn't know, you were so weak," Pedro muttered with a frown and looked around for anyone. He knew his men would arrive. "Save…save my sister…that monster…he has her!" Marcos struggled to voice out the words but ended up coughing out blood. Pedro's brows knitted together. "She'll be fine…let's move," Pedro muttered and prepared to get up when Marcos held his hand. "Don't…I don't have much time…" he said and closed
