What Is The Correct Reading Order For My Dragon System Webnovel Chapters?
A friend said the My Dragon System webnovel chapters online are posted out of sequence. Finished book two but missed some lore—where do extra side chapters fit chronologically?

My approach was brute force. I read everything I could find under that title, accepted the contradictions, and forged my own head-canon. Now, when I debate lore online, I have unique interpretations that confuse everyone else. It's a power move. Become the chaos you wish to see in the fandom.

It's a web novel, not 'The Silmarillion'. You don't need a guide. You need a weekend and some snacks. Start reading. If you get lost, maybe then look up a guide. But chances are, you won't. The story is pretty straightforward about its own plot. All this order talk is overthinking what is, at its heart, a fun and addictive power fantasy.

My take is niche: focus on the themes. If you're into stories about isolation and grappling with a monstrous nature, start with the vampire. If you're into themes of legacy, inherited power, and rising to a destined role, start with the dragon. The order changes which theme feels primary. Starting with vampire makes the dragon story feel like a hopeful evolution. Starting with dragon makes the vampire story feel like a gritty origin.

Audiobook listener here—does anyone know if there's an audiobook version and if it follows the proper order? That's my preferred format, but with web serials, the audio adaptations sometimes start mid-way or skip around. If there's a reliable narrator doing it in sequence, I'm all in. Text is great, but I consume this stuff during my commute.

Wait, are we talking about the one by KingKong? Or is there another 'My Dragon System'? Because author name matters. If it's KingKong's, then the Webnovel order is definitive. If it's a different one with the same name, all bets are off.
Always confirm the author, folks. Common title, big problem.

Humans? A low-level world? No cultivators or gods? Could that world be trampled as easily as ants by the powerful beings from above? This is Long Chen's new journey after being reborn from the flames of the Vermilion Bird, emerging to fight against powerful cultivators who always use low-level worlds as their slaves and playthings. He also discovers the evils of the world and the people who rule over these various worlds. Protecting, destroying, and shaping are Long Chen's new goals. This journey brings Long Chen into contact with various powerful cultivators and even those called gods. Fighting, defeating, protecting—all of these are already in Long Chen's heart. He will also meet his parents, whom he has never seen since the day he was born. Will Long Chen accept them? Or will Long Chen decide to have nothing to do with them anymore? Can Long Chen maintain his purpose, or will he fall once again into the same temptation as the black dragon? "I live for myself, fate? Fate cannot stop me! I will keep standing no matter how many times I fall. As long as I still breathe, there is no such thing as giving up in my life."
Humans? A low-level world? No cultivators or gods? Can the world be trampled on like ants by the strongmen of the upper realms? This is Long Chen's new journey after being reborn from the flames of the Vermilion Bird to fight against the strong cultivators who have always used the lower worlds as their slaves and playthings. And discover the ugly worlds and the people who are the rulers of those worlds. Protecting, destroying, and shaping are Long Chen's new goals.
A journey in which Long Chen met various powerful cultivators and even so-called gods. Fighting, defeating, protecting, it's all in Long Chen's heart. He will also meet his parents, whom he hasn't seen since the day he was born. Would Long Chen accept them? Or will he decide to have nothing to do with them? Can Long Chen maintain his goal, or will he once again fall into the same temptation as the Black Dragon?

Can we talk about how the art evolves? The early chapters are a bit rougher, but it gets so much better by Season 2. That's another reason to read in order—you see the artist's skills improve alongside Ray's power growth. The order is literally the journey. Skipping around would ruin that progression. I'd say even if you find early art a bit stiff, push through. The storytelling and artwork become more polished in a satisfying way.
My friend tried to start at the 'Hunter Games' because I raved about it. He was completely lost. He didn’t know who the side characters were, why the tournament mattered, or how Quinn’s powers worked. He gave up after a few chapters and started from the beginning. He later thanked me… after complaining about the slow start. But he got through it because he knew the payoff was coming. So, order matters for basic comprehension.
I'm just here for the comments because I dropped it around chapter 150. Got a bit repetitive for me. But when I was reading, I just followed the Webtoon list. Seemed fine.
The light novel volumes sometimes consolidate or rearrange webnovel chapters for better flow. So if you read the webnovel first, then pick up the light novel, things might feel slightly out of order or paced differently. Personally, I think the light novel version is the definitive, edited experience. So the 'correct' order is the light novel volume order, then you can optionally continue with the raw webnovel chapters if you need more.
Ha, I remember trying to figure this out. The subtitles help. It's 'The Unwanted Heir,' then 'Rise of the Blood Dragon,' then 'Legacy of the Ancient.' Ignore any side stories or fan-made audio dramas for now. The core trilogy's narrative flow is clean in audio format. The narrator's pacing in Book 1 is slightly slower, but it matches Ray's initial weakness.
The discussion usually centers on the big platforms, but some authors use sites like Tapas or Royal Road. For 'My Dragon System,' it's not on those. Its home is Webnovel. Royal Road has a similar vibe but hosts different stories. Always check the author's preferred platform first before branching out.
