On New Year's Eve, I waited at home with a box of sparklers, hoping Jake Thompson would come. Instead, an earthquake struck. Trapped under fallen debris, I prayed for his safety. Little did I know, Jake was putting on a grand fireworks display across the city for his high school sweetheart who had just returned from abroad. I felt like I was going to get sick. Did he just say I was going to marry King Gregory Dominis? How could I marry a man I have never met? And he was not just any man but a king!

Mereka memang sengaja lakukan rencana itu untuk menyatukan kedua anaknya dan mengubah sikap dan kepribadian masing-masing agar menjadi lebih baik. Beberapa bulan kemudian, masalah baru datang di antara mereka berdua. Frans datang untuk Elissa. Tidak hanya Frans, bahkan Gea sang mantan kekasih Arga juga ikut hadir dan menginginkan Arga untuk kembali kepadanya. Timbullah perpecahan dan keretakan dalam rumah tangga mereka.
