said Gloria smilingly. Adrian moved his body. Upon noticing the situation, she chuckled and said hastily, “Don’t worry. Your arm is safe, and the wound is almost fully healed. But it left quite a bit of scarring on you. The doctor said that you can be discharged upon waking.” “How many days has it been?” asked Adrian. “It’s been ten days. The Isle 416 mission has been completed. We’ve transported all of the meteorites back to the country and left behind nothing for anyone else.

"How do you usually survive when you go to that island?" "Special meds and toys." "Oh... Then... Wouldn't you get blue balls now? Also, how long does your rut usually last?" He responded to the last question. "7 days." "7 days?!" I spat in shock. As in, a week? We've only done it for a day, and I still wasn't physically fine yet even after resting. And now, he was saying that it would last 7 days? Oh gawdess. I didn't dare say another word lest he accidentally lost control. Instead, I devoured the meals like my life depended on it. If anything, I needed to have enough strength in case we go at it again or anything unexpected happened.

As if something had shifted in the short time he had been away. She could feel it. The weight in the air. The tension in his shoulders. Something was wrong. "And you promise—promise—you’ll tell me everything once you're back?" "Yes." There was no hesitation in his answer. His silver-blue eyes held hers, unwavering, steady. Two days. She had already waited five. Two more wouldn’t kill her.

I mumbled, running a hand across my hair. "Don't give me that shit. I know you're not cool. Are you worried about the pact"? "Of course I am; I'm fast running out of time, Ethan. I'm left with just 65 more days, and it's utterly frustrating.. I hissed as I inhaled a sharp breath.

We were both managing it. There were exactly three weeks left until the scheduled off-week. That was twenty-two days until her flight landed and we were back in the same room. I kept that specific number in the front of my mind the same way I had been tracking statistics since the first week of September. It was the precise arithmetic of a pair doing what was required to sustain themselves across whatever distance the world demanded. Twenty-two days. I could handle twenty-two days without breaking.

After a brief pause, he answered, "Four days. We leave in two." "Nice," Susan said, her voice warm with admiration. "That’s huge. Congratulations in advance." Jonathan clapped his hands together. "Double celebrations, then! Dominion High’s finest heroes deserve nothing less." Adrian smirked, shaking his head slightly. Four days. The countdown had begun.

"He thinks he’s the best player in this game. He doesn't realize he’s the one who hired the person who’s going to destroy him." He walked over to the island and sat between them. He looked at the pages Danny had been annotating. "Three months," Scarlett said. "Ninety days," Xavier corrected. "And we’re going to use every second of them.”

Daniel nodded as if he had expected that. “Forty-eight to seventy-two hours is a lot of hours.” I gave a weak laugh. “It is.” “How many exactly?” “Forty-eight to seventy-two.” He gave me a look. “Mom.” Lucian’s mouth twitched. Alisson narrated, putting the leaves into the water. "How many days did you use?" Wahika asked her. "829." She responded. "You have been gone for 12 days and 2 hours." Wahika stared at her. Allison stopped what she was doing. "What?" Wahika repeated herself. Everyone watched both of them discuss. They were lost in the conversation, but it is getting Alisson emotional. "You mean the years I had spent is just 12 days?" She asked again just to be sure, and Wahika just nodded.
