A Liar's Confession
“I know your family doesn't approve us. I will hold on to you. I will never let you go again.”
A smile crept on his lips. Tears formed at the corner of his eyes as he nodded. “I promise to love you right, this time. I promise to love you better.”
I nodded and caressed his cheek. He squeezed his eyes at the contact of our skin. “I'm not a believer of promises anymore, but will hold on to that promise, Jacob.”
“Thank you…” He started kissing my face. “Thank you for this second chance.”
Everyone deserves a second chance, I know. In my case, this is my third chance. The third chance of gambling in love. I hope, this is the last because I don't have plans to let go.
