Following his lead, we made our way into the house. Everywhere was quiet; everyone else had gone to sleep. I snuck a glance at my wristwatch, and it told me the time was two am in the morning. So much seemed to have happened to me in the space of a few hours.
"Do you need anything?" Aiden asked as we stood in the dimness of the foyer together.
I smiled weakly. "No, Aiden. I'm fine." I murmured, even though I felt as though I was breaking apart from the inside.
