I tilt my head at her, trying to sound genuine. She gives me a dazed look before she answers. “Nineteen. Maybe twenty. What’s today?” I look at the date on my phone to be sure. “July seventeenth.” A blank look crosses her face as she turns back toward the street. “Huh? I-I must have lost track of the days. We turned twenty, three days ago.”

What if I lose my ring? All these silly what-ifs racing through my mind about the future, about my future as a Mrs. I know George promised today was going to be the best day ever, but what about tomorrow and the next day and the day after that. I was so thankful to have my father there in that moment. He hadn't been part of the planning much. He had helped pick up items for me and run errands if I needed them. But he was my silent supporter throughout the last four months, the last twenty-two years. "I love you too, Daddy." I finally said, and with a deep breath, I released him.

My heartbeat stumbled. I hadn't meant to say that last part. But the second it left my mouth, I knew I'd hit something. “What am I supposed to remember?” I asked. Luca slowly placed the glass down. “You ask too many questions.”

Bisola began to laugh unnecessarily. The previous Eight day was the best day of her entire life, because everything about her life changed completely during the past Eight day, her life took a total turned from just an Orphan to someone who found Love, and also about to became an Entrepreneur. Bisola smiled again and looked up in the air.

I took a shaky breath as I clutched the phone in my hands. “ Next week Tuesday 8pm sharp ... .no later ,no earlier.” He said and the phone made a beep. Fuck! Next week Tuesday? That's six days from now! How the fuck am I supposed to wait six fucking days! I'm losing my mind slowly. She's probably scared and alone and then baby? Fuck! I ran a frustrated hand through my hair and slammed my fists on the desk. I'm not waiting six days….I'm getting my girl back tonight.
