I snorted softly, then slid it back.

I sucked in my breath just by the mention of the book. I never read dark romance novels, it always grosses me out, the male lead is a pure shitty devil while female lead is always a pure kind hearted angel. The book I love to read is in which there is a bubbly bakery characters. Those kinds of books make me reach my dreamland. Dylan and me.. Oh god!! I sighed. Concentrate Naomi. I kept the statue back on its place and plopped down on the couch and rested my long legs up on the coffee table.

If sunrise ever had a scent, I would say it was Valentina’s. I flipped through the pages of her notes and inhaled the scent of each page, I wanted Valentina’s scent burnt to my brain. It was probably one of the contemporary romance books with a weak-ass female lead, a plot lacking storyline, and thousands of sex scenes, yet she seemed to cherish this one book.

I felt happy, content, and sometimes wished I'd have a happy ending. I started going through the books slowly as I checked out their names. Thousands of romance stories stood arranged on the shelf. I squinted my eyes at one that caught my attention. I selected it. "An Omega Breeder For The Ruthless Alpha King." That was the name of the book. I smiled at the book cover. It had a handsome man with a young maiden who looked smitten with her man. Goosebumps arose on my body at their chemistry. That was what books did to me. I imagined myself as the character.

It was scorching like a flame and if auras could be tasted, hers would definitely be bitter. I shuddered, walking over to the first aisle to check it out. The first book that caught my attention was Blood, Pawns and Obsession. It was a dark romance by Rylie Martin. I had one of my projects on hold because I wanted to read this book and get into the head of the psychotic male lead, so I would understand him better and be able to execute my plotline to my taste. The grin on my face unconsciously widened, and I brought the book to my nose, sniffing it in.

I ran to the romance shelf first and started checking from side to side and I still did not see anything. I sighed in confusion because I had thought that I was going to see the clue in the romance section. I went to the section for fantasy books and I kept checking each side of a book, my eyes caught on a very attractive cover and I smiled before pulling it out. The cover was so beautiful and I read the title, 'Curse Of The Wolves'. It was written by my favorite author in the world, Jane Doe. I had read all of her books and all are a masterpiece and I had no doubt that the one I held in my hands was going to be a great read as well.

Was it from a novel Paige had read before? "What? Do you also think I'm right?" Chris asked with a smile. Paige refuted, "You should read fewer messy novels." Who would have thought that someone like Chris, a CEO, actually liked reading all sorts of romance novels? Did he ever imagine himself in those novels, fantasizing about being the male lead?
