I start to head north when I get another link from Jace. Kade coming your way fast. I just caught sight of the rogue headed that way and it looks like there’s a hunter on his tail. AVA "That's the guy?" Hunter asked without looking at me. "Yes," I replied, my eyes still locked with the man standing at the front of our house. I heard Hunter growl. I ignored it and kept looking at the him. He was wearing a white shirt, black learher pants and his sleek hair was combed to the back neatly. I heard a bang and snapped out of my trance, spinning around my spot to see Hunter leaving the room with fresh clothes on. For a moment, I caught his claws extending, letting me know he was halfway to shifting into his wolf.

But after what I had just heard, I was beginning to think otherwise. I felt goosebumps run over my arms at the thought of Hunter lying in wait for his plan to come to a fold. It was as though he was a shark in the water stalking his bait– waiting for them to mess up before attacking. He was like a predator in the night, hiding in the shadows. I just hope that none of this has to do with the Stones. I may not know them personally, but Sienna seemed like a good girl. I wouldn't want to see her get mixed up in all of this.

I had only seen Mildred and Garren shift, so this was new. Hunter wasn’t nearly as big as Garren, but he was bigger than Mildred. His scales looked rougher, and he had spikes lining his back along his spine. His talons were longer than the others, and his wings looked like they were tipped with ice shards. “Hunter is the last of his kind,” Mildred said low enough for only me to hear. “He’s beautiful. He looks like he is covered in pieces of ice.” I said in awe. She let out a laugh.

“Hunter is the Blue Moon and Crescent Moon joining as one?” “This isn’t how I wanted you to find out but Caleb and I were wanting to surprise you. I can’t continue to be at Crescent Moon without you. It is driving me crazy not having you in my arms every night. So I bought a chunk of land between the two packs and I am in the process of having a packhouse built for us all.” Hunter said with hope in his eyes that I would be happy with this decision he made without me. But this was one decision I was more than happy with.

It was just after 3am in the morning when Hunter arrived at the address which Adrian had sent to him a few days ago. He had come prepared with a crowbar, gun, and sharp knife, leaving no room for errors. The house was on the outskirts of New-York city, hidden behind tall hedges. Hunter stepped out of his car and quietly made his way up the driveway. He tampered with the security camera that was outside and switched it off before he unlocked the closed door with a crowbar and opened it quietly, not wanting to wake up his opponent.

I ask and Hunter nods. Wow, they got a new house. The new house looked a lot better than the old house, some part of the house was in the glass, and I could see a small part of the living room, it looked so pretty. “They can’t wait to meet you,” Hunter says. When we got into his house, I was welcomed by a scream then a hug followed. It was Luke, he is always fucking dramatic. “Yes, Luke I missed you too, even more than I missed any of them,” I say making him smile.

The sky was darkening as Hunter Jackson stood before the tall gates that separated him from the house of his past—a place that now felt like a stranger. The modern colonial home loomed with elegance in the center of a wide yard, its manicured gardens flawless and cold. Once, he had called this place home. But ever since he left with Shopia Joy, it had become a monument to everything he had thrown away. Hunter took a deep breath. His shirt was wrinkled, his pants faded. His once-polished leather shoes had lost their shine. Everything he owned vanished when Shopia left, and with her, so did his wealth.

No room, no kitchen, no bathroom. "Let's go." He guided me out of his so-called home and sat on his bullet. "You have your Scooty, right?" he asked. "Yeah," I replied, my eyes solely on his hut. How is he living here? "Then follow me." He started his bullet not giving time to digest the whole thing. How he managed to kill the wild animal that is five times bigger than him? Mr. Hunter is really a hunter. Hats off you man! "Are you coming or not?" He called out loudly sure enough to break my eardrums.

I was born three thousand years ago and did my business in a hole in the ground. The house seems to have its own water supply which is a plus. I assume tanks underground fill from a nearby mountain creek, which means the taps run and toilets flush, even if it's icy cold. I need this privacy if I am to further the search for this man. If this Hunter really is what I have been drawn to then upon finding him I intend to make the trip back home, to my own house in the highlands with him. He will come willingly or not, until I know what is to be done with him.
