FATED BY FIRE
The fire snapped in the hearth as Kai took over, stalking to the window, staring out into the dark forest.
“She’ll be ours,” he promised, voice deeper now, vibrating through our shared chest. “And if anyone stands in our way”
His teeth bared.
“They’ll die.”

The next morning
By the time the sun rose, I had regained control. Kai simmered beneath the surface, restless but contained. For now. I dressed in black, pulled my hair back, and made my way downstairs.
The packhouse buzzed with life. Warriors are preparing for patrol. Omegas rushing breakfast trays. I ignored them all, my mind already turning over the details of my plan.
