A Summer To Remember Book Novels & Stories

I didn't want to stare at Theo again and make things more awkward between us. We've got just a few more hours before the camp ends. We need to seperate like two friends who are never going to meet or see each other again. We just need a few nice memories of each other. We just need to smile whenever we think about each other. "Give me your book." "Oh..?" I tilt my face to look at him. "Are you finished with yours?"

Even though in a way it felt like my world was crashing down, on the other side it felt like I could finally breathe with full lungs. I decided right there and then, this summer will be one I will remember forever. Where I will put myself in the first place. Do all the things I've put off for years, and finally enjoy my time off with my best friend and my brother. Let's make this summer count.

Fortunately, with the help of my friends in Italy and Greece, I finished my schooling in business course and applied as Barack's secretary who is now my fiancé. My heart was heavy upon reminiscing the past. It was squeezing me inside, preventing me from breathing smoothly. I did not know what happened afterwards, my mind was nowhere to be found. Memories flooded her head and she decided to sit on the stair for a bit. She closed her eyes and drifted of into nostalgia. It was a bright summer's day when Bobby had mustered up the courage to call her his girlfriend. It was the first week in high school and Summer was the emotional punching bag for many kids. As she sat alone at the table, waiting for Bobby to arrive from the cafeteria, a group of girls grabbed her tray and threw it onto her lap. Summer shrieked but she did not say anything. The girls were mean, cruel and nasty. They said so many ruthless things to her that the tears started to stream down her face.

She said and looked at Goerge whose heart was restless, he was trying to figure out what the real deal was, why was Aunty Mimi being really emotional. "Do you miss your father?, Does those days you want to look up to someone and it was just your mum, what did you feel?, Goerge, be honest with me" Aunty Mimi said and stretched her hands to hold Goerge's hand that was on the table, Goerge looked at her and sighs deeply. He was made to remember a memory he had locked away. "I wanted to see him, I wanted to see his face, I wanted to be happy like other kids but I grew over it, he didn't die in vain, he had a lovely wife and two children and that all I need to remember"

I answer it anyway. “Hello.” “Memories can kill. Maybe it’s better that she doesn’t remember.” A voice says over the phone. “Who is this?” There’s no answer, the line goes dead. I hang up the phone and stare at it as if that’s going to make the number appear, or the caller call back. Then it hits me that I'd better call Mikey. I dial his number. “What’s up, Bryce?” “I got a strange call.” “And?” “And the caller told me that maybe it’s better that Tanya doesn’t remember because memories can kill.”

Don't be stupid—" But before he could finish his little speech, Michael's voice boomed from the stage. He said slowly, his gaze sweeping over the crowd, "Actually, I already knew Aurora was at that party." The whole room froze. Audrey, my parents, and even I were stunned. Wait. Did that mean he remembered me that night? Even under the influence of the drug? My chest tightened as a bad feeling prickled at me. I only remember this.” ….. “Mister, I don’t remember anything. Can I follow you wherever you go?” A year ago, she ran over to Jasper on the snow-covered ground and begged him to take her with him. They had been wrong since the beginning. Summer felt that she had seen Jasper before and found him familiar. She felt that he was the missing piece in her memory.

My fingers caressed the colored notes in my hands and the familiar feeling of longing overwhelmed me. This whole trip had gone exactly the way she wanted it to go. And I couldn’t be happier. I realised that I loved making her happy. That I wanted to make her happy again and again. That’s what I remember of my youthful summer road trip. It’s so vivid in my memory, and I think about it a lot. I miss days like that. I miss the man I was. Thank you for listening to my story.
