He sat. He looked at the star Liam had drawn at the top of the fresh page. He looked at her. He picked up the crayon. He looked at the page. He began to draw. She watched him. He drew slowly. He drew nine figures first. The same nine. All of them. Then he drew a tenth. Small. In the space below the seventh. He gave it curly hair because Ada's curls deserved to be there from the beginning. He looked at the name in the seventh figure's space.

The adorable scowl that overcame her face was something I couldn't help smiling at, "You think you're so funny? Do you think you're the young Jim Carrey or something?" "I think I'm the handsome version of him," I corrected, plucking the pen out of her hair. "This is so boring," I drawled as I began to doodle in my notepad. The first thing that came to mind was a little angel with big doe eyes and curly hair. Drawing a neat arrow to the corner, I labeled the drawing 'Angel face' before sliding it over to her. I leaned back slightly, eyes still on the drawing. “It’s brilliant,” I said first, because it was. “But… the shoulder.” She blinked. She didn't seem surprised. I pointed, gently tapping the shoulder part. “Right here. It’s too stiff. See how the shoulder line forms almost a perfect right angle from the neck? That will be fine for a mannequin or an anime, but if you're aiming for a realistic human drawing, it will come out looking slightly weird.” “Please, explain,” her voice was quiet but I could feel a hint of excitement.

This time she was a little impatient and upset. "It's nothing actually, I promise you. Just give it to me and I'd explain it to you", Charles requested. "I see you are not going to tell me right. Then I just have to see what it contains myself", Angela said. She picked the drawing book with both her hands as she opened it. "Please Nooo!", Charles begged in one last attempt to prevent her from doing that. Angela didn't pay him or his words any attention as she flipped through the drawing book until she stumbled upon it.

Her baby fingers are trailing on the paper with colours and pencils like magic. She completed her drawing and it's time for the chief guest to see the drawing. Anirudh is seeing all the drawing one after another and a particular drawing caught his attention. A young beautiful woman is holding two small kids hand. One is a boy and another one is a girl. Seeing the drawing Anirudh remembered his mother and sister. A sad smile formed on his lips remembering them. The drawing is really beautiful with the perfect amount of colour and shade. Anirudh liked the drawing and wanted to meet the child who drew it.

“Hey, angel. You got taller.” She shook her head vigorously. “No, you got shorter.” He grinned. “That’s impossible.” She wriggled free and dug into her backpack. “I made drawings on the plane! Look!” She spread them out on the table — crooked little hearts and stick figures labeled MOMMY, DADDY, and ME. One drawing had a fourth stick figure, taller, in a blue suit. I tried not to look at it too long. Anthony crouched down beside her, admiring each page as though it were a masterpiece. Cameron stood beside me, polite, silent. The faintest strain crossed his face before he smoothed it away.

For a little guy, he is way too good. There are all different kinds of drawings that are too neat, I shuffle through them, trying to find one to stick on our fridge in the kitchen. I smile to myself when I come across a picture of him and I then there's Jasmine and even Alex, with and without devil horns— that makes me laugh. I pass by other boyish things, like cars, dragons, dogs, dinosaurs and ninjas, lots and lots of them.
