The Dragons of Edon

The Dragons of Edon

said the Master, and they altered their path toward the buildings. As they approached it became clear that what they were seeing was a barn and a smaller stable. When they got closer, another building was visible past the stable, which was clearly a house. It was a typical farm home, small but well-made, if not fancy. Sadly, as they rode nearer to the house, they saw that the straw roof had collapsed, quashing any thought of sheltering there. The farm appeared to be abandoned. There was no sign of animals of any kind, and certainly no people remained behind. It was not uncommon; the farmer may have had a run of ill luck, crops failing or other obstacles, and they had simply moved on in hopes

Billionaire Alpha's Ex-wife and Her Hidden Cubs

Billionaire Alpha's Ex-wife and Her Hidden Cubs

A laptop sat open at one end, next to a manila folder. Another detective stood against the wall, younger, female, her badge reading "Detective Chen." Rosa didn't sit. She stood behind a chair, gripping its back. "Please. Just tell us." Morrison moved to the laptop. "Three days ago, we received an anonymous tip about a property in rural Field County. An abandoned farmhouse about ninety miles north of here." He clicked something on the laptop. Rosa leaned forward, her breath coming in short gasps. "We sent a team to investigate yesterday," Morrison continued. "What they found made us contact you immediately."

Billionaire's Revenge: The Ex wife's rise

". Come alone.* My heart was racing as I hoped that this was the break I had been hoping for—a break to find more damning evidence on Zack, and even perhaps leads on Damien's implication that I could not find since that fateful night. I quickly scrolled through my phone for a last-minute cancellation and drove down a rural road. The city's neon receded fewer behind me as the world gave way to fields and thick groves of trees. I finally found myself standing before a weathered-down farmhouse on the edge of a forest. Its weathered face, cracked in broken windows and blistered paint, seemed to emit a ghostly sense of abandonment—but possibility too. I crept up, the headlights dropped to hide us

His Untouchable Super Wife

His Untouchable Super Wife

Lloyd assured her Doreen would at least wait for her to come in, so how come he was leaving? “Of course, he'll leave. Tessa got…kidnapped." ★ ★ “A…a… Farmhouse?!” Those pair of red eyes beheld a tacky old farmhouse the instant the taxi dropped from a distance. It was a farmhouse and one that seemed abandoned. No animals or crops were in view, but countless hefty-looking men were. Was this an ordinary farmhouse? Octavia didn't think so and to avoid being seen, she distanced herself more before bringing out her phone.

The Endgame Chronicles

The Endgame Chronicles(The Apocalyptic Queen Theresa)(Supreme Survivor In The Zombie Apocalypse)

said a man in his late 40s at an empty suburban house. Inside, Hayley stood with Summer. She had found an old farmhouse along the main road outside her shelter. Many old houses in the suburbs were empty because families had moved to the city. The better-located ones often had "for rent" signs. She planned to use this farmhouse as a transfer station. Supplies would be stored here and then moved invisibly into her system space, keeping her operations secret while she went shopping. "I'll pay you 80, no deposit. I just want it for a month as a warehouse," Hayley bargained.

This is by far and beyond the best book I've read in a long time! It kept me so engaged that I had a lot of sleepless nights and I had to force myself to put it down. If it was in book form, I would buy it in a heartbeat! Thank you Hugh White for writing and publishing this book. it's the story of a

Worth the read, well written and has a decent plot. The characters generally have a lot of depth, although one or two have been a little strange, maybe written that way on purpose. The FMC sometimes feels a little too cold, and vengeful, but again part of her character... I will continue reading!

Riley Above Storypregnancy fanfiction
Where the hell was I? Blinking through the haze, I forced my bleary and burning eyes to focus on my surroundings. The place looked like it had been abandoned for decades—rotting wooden structures, tarps stretched between broken fence posts to create makeshift tents. An old farmhouse stood in the distance, its windows boarded up and its roof sagging. The scent of rogues was burning into my nostrils. It didn’t take a genius to know that I’d been taken to some kind of encampment; and a large one at that, which was surprising.

I really enjoy this novel and hope to see more, as it’s been 2 months. I miss the original cover and how it reflected the FL’s strength and leadership. The new cover suggests a very different kind of story. Please bring back original cover, or hope future artwork better reflects the story.

I love this story! 594 chapters in and I still find myself captivated by it. The characters, the world building and the evolving nature of everything is so fascinating. I’d love to see what happens next, and I really hope this continues!

The Alpha's Regret: Chasing Back His Rejected Luna

The Alpha's Regret: Chasing Back His Rejected Luna

Each stroke of the pedal takes me farther from the cracked wall, the trees closing in as the servants’ quarters fade behind me. The night breeze is cold, kissing my face and blowing my hair back every now and then. The moon is just a thin crescent tonight, barely enough light for me. But I know where I’m going. A while later, the bushy path ends and opens up into a stretch of empty wheat fields. Finally. After riding past the fields, I arrive at the old barn sitting abandoned at the edge of the property. The poor structure has been falling apart for years, abandoned by the Hartville family after they relocated to another pack.

Hidden Pregnancy: The Boss’s Secret Triplets

Hidden Pregnancy: The Boss’s Secret Triplets

MAYA POV The gravel road seemed to go on forever, clicking against the underside of the sedan in a steady, monotonous rhythm. The dense pine trees finally gave way to an open clearing just as the afternoon sun started to dip below the tree line. In the middle of the field sat the farmhouse. It was an old, white two-story building with peeling paint on the porch railing and a small gravel driveway. It didn't look dangerous, but it didn't look like the luxury corporate suites I had grown used to over the past week either. It looked isolated.

Bitter Love

Bitter Love

It’s another fifteen minutes until we get to Aunt Kim’s house, and I’m about ready to denounce cats and claim to be a dog person for life by the time we get there. My heart jumps in my chest when the old farmhouse comes into view. Right away, we notice that it hasn’t been kept up very well since the last time we’ve been here. The lawn is in major need of mowing, the usually pristinely kept flowerbeds are full of weeds, and the roof of one of the barns sustained pretty bad wind damage.

Billionaires Forbidden Passion

Meanwhile, Henry smirked pleasantly, pocketed his hand and snapped, “Don't worry, we'll get your cows back. However, you'll have to permit us to roam your farms.” That was all I wished for: somewhere else where the two of us would be alone so that I could try f*ck*n’ him again. Without hesitation, the farmer concluded, “We don't mind as long as we get our cows back, sir. But stay out of my compound and that…er, big green organic garbage up there.” As we trailed after the cows, about one kilometre away from the farms into the thick forest, we encountered an abandoned warehouse. My heavy partner seemed exhausted, though kept the pace with his long cowboy boots. Just as he flashed a spotlight i
