ABBY "Can I hold her, Aunty? Aunty Celeste hesitated while trying to calm the bawling Arabella in her arms. "Let me hold her, Aunty. I'm fine now." I whispered, wiping my tears away and leaning my back on the headboard of my bed to support my body. Aunty Celeste hesitantly placed the bawling Arabella in my arms and put a pillow on my back. She cried hard, flailing her arms and legs as if someone was hurting her. I smiled and tenderly wiped her tears, and she quickly stopped crying.

Between sobs, Zoe hissed, "Is there no news from Abigail yet? Has she not found anything to exploit? That useless loser!" "Stay calm. She will help us because she hates Alyssa to the bone." Right then, Betty's phone buzzed. After checking the caller's name, she grinned evilly and waved her phone at Zoe. "Guess who this is? It's a call from Abigail!" Zoe clenched her jaw. "This time, I want Alyssa Taylor to crash! I want all her efforts to go to waste!"

Oh boy, Tristan knows how to make a girl blush because seriously, I'm a human tomato right now. "Stop it." I whispered to his ears and Tristan laughed. I looked at the two people in front of us and Alicia is staring at me like I've taken away something valuable from her and Cyrus? Let's just say that he probably woke up with his panties on a twist. He started giving me a murderous look and I had to excuse myself to breathe and stay away from Cyrus because he's actually the one taking my breath away. "If you'll excuse me, I need to use the powder room." I said softly and stood up from my seat, Tristan doing the same, he's helping me with my gown.

“I couldn’t even breathe after he said it. I didn’t know what to do. I just… left the office. I couldn’t take it anymore.” Taylor’s voice softened, and I could tell she was trying to keep her cool, though I could hear the frustration creeping in. “Abby, listen to me. He’s doing this on purpose. He’s trying to make you doubt yourself, trying to get you to quit. Don’t let him do this to you. You know how he is…he’s got this way of pushing buttons until you break.”

The delectable citrusy scent that had bowled me over earlier in the day. "Are you okay, Abby?" Taylor asks with concern showing in his eyes. "Uh, you…you know my name" is all I manage to stammer back. Nice one, Abby. Now he is going to think you are a complete moron. "Of course. Abigail James, who works for Eddy in the analytics department," he responds. "What? You don't think I know who works in my company?" he queries with an arch of his eyebrow. "Um, seriously, are you okay? You have gone pale."

People at work could see a shift in me; the ones closest asked questions while others glazed over it. After work on Monday instead of driving home, I found myself knocking on Abigail's door. She knew immediately without me saying a word. She wrapped me in her arms. I burst out crying, not being able to contain emotion. I explained everything to her, and she was furious. From the beginning she had always been on team Brax and had routed for us, even she could not believe what he had done. Brax was trying to call me again while I was with her. She took me outside and took the phone out of my hand and put it on the speaker phone. “Leah, please I need to explain.”

"I know, but Damon…" My mother had suddenly appeared at the door, attracted by the brewing noise; her eyes had grown wide as she spotted Damon and Cassandra half-naked. "What is the meaning of this, Damon? Annie, why are you sobbing?" Cassandra seized the opportunity. She pointed at the pizza I mistakenly spilled on the floor. "Look, Mrs. Scarlett! Your ‘precious’ daughter tried to sneak in and attack Damon! She's trying to get obsessed with him! She doesn't want to accept that the Alpha already chose me. Your daughter keeps doing crazy things even when I'm the true Luna. I have been waiting for this poor thing of yours to leave him for me!"

She is Rafael Wyatt’s fiancée.” Abigail’s lips formed a big O before she tilted her head sideways to look at Emerald.
