Once Upon a Marriage

Once Upon a Marriage

i muttered, clinking my glass to his in a bitter toast. “Is that so?” He chuckled, his gaze soft and unintrusive. “Not... not all, maybe,” i admitted reluctantly. “But the kind I keep meeting? Yeah. Definitely trash.” I laughed, though there was no humor in my voice. I had been talking too much, I know, but it was as if once I start, there is no stopping. “Seven years of marriage,” i continued, shaking my head, “Gone in an instant, and for what? A spark with an old lover, my stepsister!” I looked away, focusing on the golden lights. “Turns out I was... disposable.”

It Kills Me: A Forbidden Dark Romance

It Kills Me: A Forbidden Dark Romance

“You’re judging me.” “I’m not the judgmental type,” he said. “Marriage means different things to different people. To some, it’s a business arrangement. To others, it’s just about procreation. And to some, it’s about love. It doesn’t matter which one it is—as long as both parties agree.”

Whispers of Willow

Whispers of Willow

A blue butterfly caught her eye, but she returned her gaze to him. "No. Marriage is a sanctity that one must preserve. Separation is only possible if one departs from this world." "But isn't that too restricting? An eternity spent with just one person. What if you later realize that you don't like the person?" "Marriage is a choice. With no option for a divorce, one does not rush into it. It is a meticulously thought-out process. To answer your question, marriage is neither a compulsion nor an obligation. There is no societal pressure to which they feel compelled to conform. It is purely a choice."

Moreover, neglecting their responsibilities. Marriage is not just a promise with a sacred bond. But marriage is also a responsibility that must be lived through a lifetime. If a promise is only made without the responsibility that is lived, it is not a marriage. Anyone can do sacred vows, but not everyone can take responsibility for their marriage until the marriage ends quickly or even tortures each other.

The MC voice cut through my thoughts My mum stood up from her seat. She kissed my cheek before mounting the podium. "Uhmmm... What can I say because this is a dream come true. I have been to so many wedding ceremony but marriage isn't about the ceremony. Marriage is staying together at your worst. Staying together in tribulations and trouble. Marriage is given your best to make relationships work because so many relationships are formed during marriage. All am saying in essence is that, the both of you should hold on to each other, don't invite third party into your life.

October Breeze

October Breeze

October 5 , the day two souls are getting united by the sacred thread of marriage. The day when both will enter into newly formed relations and responsibilities. Marriage is not just about love. It is more than that. It is about commitment, giving, taking, communicating and understanding. The fact that you want to spend your entire life with someone and be a part of their everyday life means that you are ready to share everything, compromise somewhere, and agree to trust your partner. Learning to accept each other's flaws and living with them, forgiving one another, and sharing and growing the love, is what make marriage so special.

“What do you think about marriage?” Confused by the sudden attack, Cassey turned her head on the man hoping he would see his eyes. But his eyes were closed. “Marriage is a union between two people, who vowed to stay with each other through thick or thin.” Cassey smiled as she uttered those words. To her, that was the safest way to define marriage- to exclude the concept of love. “Would you marry if one tells you to?” This time, the man turned his head to Cassey.

Mysterious CEO's Last Surrogate

He sat on the chair beside Danica while Pastor Lawson counselled them. "I am pleased that the two of you took this decision. Marriage is beyond the bliss portrayed by movie stars in luxury gowns and all. Marriage is a covenant between two people. It doesn't matter how you are clothed or where it's done but what is in your heart. It has to be true and never broken."

I would say this novel is one of my top 5! The author has her own way to build up the characters so just stick to it all through the end. Its worth reading! I appreciated that it’s not just a romance novel, But also it gives you heart warming lessons! This book is a gem! Good job author!

Storyline was good. My only issues were character mixups and some grammatical errors. There was a James, Gertrude and Joana introduced to the story that didn’t belong because they were Paul, Herty and Rosa. Overall, I liked the story!
