I couldn’t be more happy. “Gosh! I love my mixed and matched milk tea!” Sheena shrieked as she sipped on from her drink. The café did match its name: Mix and Match Café. We enjoyed the mixing and matching of different ingredients. Mine had a lot of whip cream on the top, sprinkled with chocolate syrup. I really love chocolate, that's why mine has a lot of it. “Should we study bartending in free college?” I laughed at them. “Why don’t you just put up a cafeteria? I'll work for you, two.”

Jasmine said, and Evans nodded. They headed to the café, but the air felt different for Evans. It felt charged, even though the distance between them wasn’t much. They reached the café and were welcomed by chatter and clinking of cups. Some students who avoided lectures or who needed to talk came to the café. The café had become multi-purpose; students came there to eat, avoid lectures, and gossip. Jasmine led the way to a corner seat, and they settled into the chairs. It was secluded from others, and for a moment, both avoided each other’s gazes. Jasmine pulled her chair closer to the table and met Evans’s gaze.

The afternoon sun angled through the wide glass panes of the academy’s courtyard, throwing warm light across polished tiles and sleek benches. “That café looks quiet—it’s Monday morning, so it shouldn’t be crowded. A good place to talk.” Ajax gave a brief nod, following her without question. They made their way to the café in his car, parked without issue, and stepped inside. The scent of roasted beans and faint vanilla greeted them as they entered. Sparse customers—mostly students or remote workers—glanced up instinctively when the pair walked in. A couple near the front even did a double take, whispering to each other after Gwyneth and Ajax passed.

It was a dull day for Avyanna. She was sitting in a coffee shop across from the university with Huan-Yue and Monica, sipping coffee and chatting about random things. Maybe even businessmen who thought drinking coffee was some sort of lifestyle. It wasn't. They were just stupid.
