Emma asked, her arms were spread on the couch as she looked around the place. “This looks really awesome.” I enthusiastically said and contacted Danny for a FaceTime. It didn’t take a while before he answered the call. His face came in view and his hair was all over the place, looking like he just rolled out of bed. Well, he was really in his bed and he looked like he just woke up because of his drowsy eyes. The sunlight from the side of his bed struck his face, making his blue eyes lighter and his freckles to become more prominent. He rubbed the sleep in his eyes with the back of his hand before waving at me.

Ace defends, his hands fisted beside him. But my eyes widen in shock when my attention is suddenly drawn to the mate mark on his neck – a mark that shouldn't be there.

As soon as I got out, the light flickered and vanished. "Took you long enough." A voice said at my side and I turned to see Ace leaning on one of the statues by the maze with his arms crossed over his chest. Was he waiting for me? Ace got up and headed in my direction. As soon as he stopped in front of me, I saw his face scrunch up in disgust as his lips drew back. "What is wrong with your face?" I touched my face consciously. "What about it?" "You look like you cried but you have a stupid looking goofy smile plastered on your face." He said and moved back from me like I was so disgusting that he could not stand being near me.

Get that in your fucking head.” He leaned closer, eyes burning. “Now answer my question. I know who sent you. But I want to know why the coward hides behind a mask. Who is Ace? What does he look like?” “I... I swear, I don’t know,” the man whimpered. “No one knows what his face looks like. He always wears the mask—always. I’ve never seen his real face, I swear to God!”

He was a man who never liked to show vulnerability, and I was one of the few people who saw it.

If only it were possible to determine who used to live in the real world where I came from, then I wouldn't have bothered to keep on troubling myself with these thoughts. "If that's what you say..." Ace suddenly held my cheeks with one of his hands, forcing me to face him. "If Alpha Siege is your mate... then I believe that your scent would bring him here, right?" I instantly shut my eyes when I saw that Ace's face was getting closer and closer to mine. I thought that he would try to press his lips on mine, but that didn't occur. "What were you waiting for?"
