By the time the military transport plane landed at the Riverdale Military Airfield, night had long since fallen. Carrying my duffel bag down the airstair, I was hit by a gust of freezing wind, thick with an unfamiliar, damp chill. "Major Tomlinson!" From a distance, an old military officer with graying hair at his temples strode over. The general stars on his epaulets gleamed softly under the lights. He came to a halt right in front of me, raised his hand, and gave me a standard military salute. "I'm Bruno Black, the deputy commander of the Riverdale Military District.

“Carylle Kaye Melendez.” He looked at their locked hands and observed how small her hands were compared to his humungous palm and long fingers, they were warm too. Warm enough to provide comfort to his cold palms and make him want to hold them forever. Wait, what? Adler inwardly shook his head, bewildered by his want of touching her longer. Spreading his lips into the same smile that he makes when he’s at work, he then spoke and began loosening his hold on her hand, signaling that they should let go. “You may call me Adler, and the pleasure is all mine.”

Ludo asked scared. “Don’t worry darling,” Erica rubbed her eyes. “I don’t like the light in this room,” she complained. Evan looked at her and reached for the manuscript in the drawer of a table. He walked to Ludo. A kind of ceasefire, which is heavily influenced by the political aspect.''
