I whispered to myself. One second we were heading to class, the next I blink and we’re sliding into a booth at one of the most overpriced lunch spots in town. I swear, she must’ve slipped a spell into my water or something. Adrian, of course, looks like he’s just won a bet, way too pleased with himself as he sprawls across from me. “I still have work to do,” I mutter, placing my bag beside me and pulling out a thin stack of books and my journal. “Not during lunch,” Adrian says immediately, leaning over the table and snatching the books from my hands like I just offended him. “Hey!” I reach for them, but he holds them out of my reach.

“Yeah, I get how you feel. She’s a little extra sometimes.” I let out a small chuckle. “Honestly, she’s quite the character. Might actually go viral.” He shrugged. “That’s probably something her agency should think about.” But Adriana wasn’t paying attention to us. Her eyes were still locked on me. “Miss Taylor, could you sign something for me?” She hurriedly pulled two books from her backpack. I looked at them—hard copies of Beyond the World. My eyes narrowed slightly as I looked up, one brow arched. “Came prepared, didn’t you?”

She was screwed, that's for sure. After Odette left, Adeline looked around the bedroom. It was large and had a lot of things to entertain herself with. There was an Amazon Kindle sitting next to a huge flat-screen TV hidden behind some drapes. Adeline turned on the TV and saw it had all the streaming services. She looked through the Kindle, and it was loaded with thousands of books. There were several bookshelves loaded with books too, but they looked untouched, like no one had ever read them. What a beautiful prison, perfect for a princess in a tower! Adeline was amazed. Was that what Damien imagined she was? No, she was his bought-and-paid-for whore in a tower and she'd do well to remember

Now it was sure to him he wanted something. Adrian crosses his arms and slightly narrowed his eyes at him. "What is it?". Timofey smiled and started speaking without any hesitation. "I want Oreos, milkshake, lays, cupcakes, candies, ooh and a new video game just launched, a couple of astronomy books, and—". Before he could list out more things further Adrian stopped him. "Hold it." Tim stopped and stared at his brother with his sparkling doe eyes. He is like a damm puppy sometimes.

I blessed the moon for her kindness towards me. Adrian and I showered together. I had to wear his oversized T-shirt because he ruined the buttons on my dress. I was grateful his shirt was long enough because I was completely bare underneath. I preferred not to wear my panties after cleaning up; it was a personal quirk of mine. I'm not sure if it was my tidiness that drove this preference, but it was a habit I maintained. Plus, I wanted to let things "breathe" down there, as I was feeling a bit sore.
