I spat, his face blurring as tears flooded my eyes. “I’m not going to help you save your ex-lover,” he snapped back. “It’s you I’m in love with, Raffael! Not him—you!” I shouted. “That doesn’t change the fact that he was still a big part of my life.” Two men rushed in from outside, moving straight for Adrian. “The boss said we shouldn’t—” “I don’t give a fuck,” one of them cut in as he lifted Adrian carefully. I recognized him instantly. One of the men Adrian used to come to school with. A bodyguard, even back then.

"You bought me to do chores?" Adrian stood on the balcony, mop in hand, his voice laced with disbelief. "Of course not!" I shook my head, looking at him seriously. His eyes lit up. "You're also my part-time bodyguard. You have to keep me safe," I said, patting his arm. "I've been dealing with a stalker lately, and I need protection. You're strong, well-built, and I hear vampires are powerful fighters. It's a perfect fit."

Elara eyes widened in fear as she saw his body jerk. Adrian bodyguard who had been patrolling the area came rushing,some ran after the man. Elara hands were over Adrain body ” Adrain,oh my God”. I didn't know who Martin was so I questioned him and he said he was his bodyguard / driver. "I can manage on my own." I said. I didn't need someone to tag along with me. "You can, but I won't let you. They've been trying to put their hands on you. No way in hell I'm letting you go to a wicked, hungry wolf like man all alone. And Martin can be trusted. Let him take you." Adrien said casually and I won't lie that it felt good to have someone look after you. Even if it's just for formality.

His eyes widened in terror, at seeing the men badly beaten up while the girl sobbed quietly, and his shoulders fell. “What do you want me to do?” he breathed out.

The gravel crunched underfoot as they walked beneath the dappled light of the estate’s old oaks. Halfway down the steps, Gabriella’s sharp voice piped up beside Adrea. “Are those men bodyguards?” Adrea gave a slight nod. “Why do you need bodyguards?” Zoe asked, eyes wide and blinking. Adrea glanced over her shoulder at her younger cousin, who looked genuinely curious. She was, in part, surprised the girl had come out with them. “They’re from my poker sponsor,” Adrea replied calmly, her tone neutral. “Ever since I became more popular, they’ve insisted I have extra security at events.”

"He does ", I heard Asher say from behind. My heart sank, Oh God what is this man doing? "Excuse me and who are you?", Anthony asked. "I'm Asher, his bodyguard, I've worked with him for a month now and I can honestly say that he's good at his job. Works extra hours everyday, first to work and last to leave. He then rushed to the restroom, only to find the bodyguard unconscious and Roman missing.
