She wanted to punt her out a window. “Sky,” he muttered, “Let’s just go home.” He stepped past her toward the door, stopping just inches from her shoulder. Close enough she felt the warmth radiating off him. Elisa gasped dramatically, like she’d just witnessed someone cancel Christmas. “Wait…hold on,” she squealed, rushing forward in her sparkly heels. “You’re leaving? Already?? Sky, that is literally so lame.” Sky’s head whipped around. “Excuse me?” Elisa folded her arms, hip popping out with Olympic-level smugness. “You just got here. And you’re gonna dip because your babysitter got a little messy?”

I and JJ scrunched our noses; auntie Beth never did anything like that; she was more of our friend than anything else. "Our babysitter, auntie Beth is so much cooler; she doesn't tell our parents anything..." "Hi Bryan, what's up, I'm Liz, I'm your new babysitter, I'm not mommy, but, I have a son who is almost your age, would you like to see a picture of him?", I asked crouching down next to him, and he nodded, so I took out my cell phone and showed him the screen shot.

Ava realized then, that she had blatantly stared at him rudely. " Uh? Oh... Sorry sir " She stammered, getting up on her feet. " No, you can sit " He laughed. " Thank you sir " She replied politely. " Jackson. It's Jackson. You applied for the job of a babysitter, right? " " Yes sir... Yes Jack. I'm Ava Adams " She answered. " Beautiful name for a gorgeous lady " He complimented, eyes twinkling. " Ava, can you tell me about yourself. Family, kids, relationship, home, everything. It will help us greatly to know if you're suitable for this job " He smiled.

He carefully descended the last stair and hastily drop his backpack on the pouch before rushing off to the kitchen. On getting to the kitchen, he meets Melanie cutting some veggies on the counter with her back facing him. Archie sighs in relief. He had almost forgotten that he had gotten another babysitter, all thanks to his grumpy father. In as much as he needs someone to talk to, he didn't trust his father and he can't completely get attacked by his new babysitter not knowing what his father must have told her. Archie clears his throat and tries to walk away but stops when he hears her say something to him.

Victor started. "Ah, daddy, tomorrow is Saturday. Why can't I sleep late tonight?" Ben complained. "I didn't finish," Victor stated. "I think we should all go to bed because tomorrow we are going on a trip." Benjamin jumped from the bed and started to run around the room in ecstasy. Victor and Sarah smiled and their eyes crossed, making Sarah feel butterflies in her stomach. "That's very nice, Mr. Reed. He'll love to spend some time with you." Victor stared into her eyes before completing. "You're coming too, Sarah."

I was exasperated, disagreeing with her brilliant idea. Now here's the thing. It's not like my mother never appointed babysitters for me when she had business trips and contests to judge. But, all in vain, there were hundreds of complaints registered against me which led them to quit the job- which had a pretty fair pay- and now those files are probably rotting somewhere in the attic. These babysitters even took payment for their damages. I'm not a monster or anything but it's just their necessity stuff used to mesmerize me and as a curious explorer child, I was prompted to check them out.
