My Wife Ruined My In-laws' Life Masks

My Wife Ruined My In-laws' Life Masks

“Some people just don’t know how good they have it. Don’t pay him any mind!” Astel took the opportunity to wrap his arms around Ilma’s waist. “Then, you’d better make it up to me.” “Okay, okay. I’ll make it up to you!” As they spoke, their eyes began to grow dreamy. They completely ignored my presence. I cleared my throat. Only then did the two of them stop. Ilma said impatiently, “Gareth, what’s the meaning of this? It’s just a gas mask, isn’t it? Do you have to lie about saving someone on Mounscour Hill? You’ll stop at nothing to make things difficult for Astel!”

Falling into the devil's bed

Falling into the devil's bed

“Do you want this place?” My eyes track up the building, taking in it's peeling paint, and old window sills with it's rattling panes, and higher to the roof where weeds are growing out of the tiles. “What would I do with an old building?” I reply and turn away. Athena and I head down to Silver Brass. There's a hidden entrance only available to me. Athena makes sure there's no one around before she hands me my mask. I stare at the porcelain mask. Athena made it for me, a gift for my sixteenth birthday. White porcelain decorated with motifs of calla lilies, roses, and birds.

The Last Moonbane

The Last Moonbane

It held the fire before giving in. I understood the feeling. On the fourth morning, I received an unexpected package. Wrapped in plain canvas, sealed with unmarked wax. Inside, a single item: a mask. Black, carved from something harder than wood, softer than stone. The same sealed-eye emblem from the masquerade auction rested at the brow, but fainter this time. A different version. And a note. No signature. Just two words: “Another stage.” I smiled, just slightly. Because I understood now.

Reclaiming my Fated Alpha

Reclaiming my Fated Alpha

A porter opens the carriage door and Ares grabs my hand. “C’mon!” His face lights up brighter than a full moon’s and we both jump down from the carriage. I almost stumble on my heels before we even reach the main door though. Maybe I should have worn my boots, no one would be able to notice them underneath the long white gown anyways. Quickly, I slide on my mask. It is a simple white mask with tiny diamonds on the side. The diamonds are fake of course. Ares had swiped it from his sister’s collection of trinkets as well.

Dear readers, There will be no updates next week as I will be editing the free chapters as well as correcting the grammatical and spelling errors throughout the story. Please bear with me as I work on improving 'Reclaiming my Fated Alpha’ to make the story even more enjoyable for you :)

Definitely one of the better books on here. It’s well written with minimal errors. There were so many climaxes and conflicts that could have easily been made into plots of second and third books. Only thing I disliked was that the MC was mostly weak through out the story especially for being a Beta.

The Alpha’s Regret: The Hidden Luna’s Return

The Alpha’s Regret: The Hidden Luna’s Return

Marcus asked, holding out a tray. Tonight’s mask was different. It wasn't the clinical filigree I wore in the office. This one was crafted from white gold and encrusted with tiny, raw diamonds that shimmered like frozen tears. It covered the upper half of my face, leaving my lips—painted a defiant, lethal crimson—exposed. "Tonight, we don't hide, Marcus," I whispered, watching my reflection. "Tonight, we remind them that the shadows always return to claim what is theirs."

Whisper of the stone heart

Whisper of the stone heart

“What? You don’t want to. Shall I go down my knees and suck your dick. Ooohh! I forgot! You don’t have one anymore. What to do?” “I am rather in a good mood. Don’t sully it!” He took out a white mask from his pocket and put it on my face. “Wear this, I don’t want someone seeing your face, especially your eyes. Leave it to tonight’s winner,” he laughed then disappeared around the corner talking to one of the guards.

The Hidden Realm

The Hidden Realm

“Let me tell you. Every Alegerian warrior fought with a mask. Even in the Great Fae War, we do that in honor of Manakel—our deity of peace. Besides, they did not use their real power to hide their true identity.” “That explains it.” he nodded. He was satisfied with her answers. “Now, try to fly again.”. And Eleand did.

Rebirth of the Scarred Face Luna

Rebirth of the Scarred Face Luna

As Cassiopeia put the mask on her face, it fits perfectly like it was made and customized for her only. ‘From this day, this mask will witness the greatest pretention of a woman betrayed and fooled by the people I trust. No tears will shed, only a glimpse of victory.’

MASKED

MASKED

Amore said with a smile. "What? Are you going to go on your revenge by pretending? Amore, you might be cursed again when he finds out. You know he's a cunning man, don't you?" He replied full of concern. "Ah, I'll take care of it. I can pretend as long as I have a different face. I can't take off my mask, because he will suspect me!"
