Aiden’s POV My footsteps echoed softly as I walked down the dimly lit hallway, Lucas trailing just a few steps behind me. The weight of the impending meeting settled heavily on my shoulders. Three elders awaited me, their support crucial for my succession to the throne. For now, they were the only ones backing my claim. I needed to sway more to my side if I wanted to secure my future as the leader of the pack.

The four of us stand up when five extremely large men walk in. “I am Kaden, and this is my cousin Alek. These two here are Brent and Lance.” I say. “Hey, I am Curtis, and this is Venom,” Curtis says. “I am Quade, and this is Zion. I am assuming you know Chaos.” Quade states.

Sharriah gasped with fear wheh she saw the Gashadrukos walked towards her mate Aiden. Aiden remained standstill, he wasn't going to scamper off from this bloody skeletons, he was a corrupted werewolf and the Gashadrukos will never defeat him, instead he will protect his mate with his last blood. But then, the actions of the Gashadrukos shook him to the core.

Aiden and I are on our feet in a second flat, and catch him just as he collapses on the ground. “She is dead.. My mate is dead. She’s gone.” He cried. “AAAAAAH SHE IS GONE. IVY! MY IVY IS DEAD.” He roars so the whole packhouse can hear him. Out of the corner of my eyes I see another young man on the screen smirking. “We’re coming for your Astra and no one can protect you now.” He and Jonas say before the screen goes dark. Aiden and I get Isaiah back on his feet as his parents come running into the conference room. Isabella gasps when she sees his state.

my stomach churns as i cross to the window yanking the curtains open. outside the city hums.Normal.completely oblivious to the fact that somewhere online my life is spiraling into headlines and hashtags. All I know is something has happened that means I will never be the same person. Outside of the abandoned house, I sit on the wet grass, angry with my performance. Being the one who switched on the light by climbing on a chair, Aiden jumped down, rushing over to the mattress where the man lay half dead.
