I sat there on the couch staring at the wall in front of me when Ezra came and sat down beside me. “I know that I am being a dick right now. I expected her to at least come back with us so we could talk to her for a little longer.” Ezra said, sitting next to me.

He has always been so caring, so sweet, always full of praises and admiration for everything I do. I am going to miss having someone love me that much but I will have to live with it. His eyes are fixed on the sagging, wooden gate of the Weiller property. His jaw is a hard line of granite, his knuckles white as he grips his car keys. He moves toward the gate with a predatory stride, each step measured and lethal. He looks like a man about to kick down the doors of hell. But before he can reach the gate, it creaks open.

Then Aiden smirked, suddenly stepped back and said with a mocking tone “See you at initiation, Little Wolf.” Hearing it, the entire rink went silent and heat rushed into my face. I wanted to kill him. Aiden only laughed softly before walking away with his gang following behind him. He was arrogant and completely insane. And somehow, I couldn’t stop thinking about him. ……………………………. That night I returned home late. The Black family mansion stood cold and massive under moonlight. It had no warmth or comfort, just expectations. I entered quietly only to hear voices from my father's office.

Miles gasped. “Aiden! Aiden, are you alive?” Aiden mumbled something into the grass, unable to move. Miles let out a sigh of relief. He yanked Aiden’s half-alive body up by the shoulders and hoisted him onto his feet, forcing him forward until he was finally able to walk himself. They limped for a while through the side yard, bodies weak with pain and barely able to move. That is, until they heard Aiden’s mother holler through the broken window behind them, and they immediately broke into a dash. It appeared Aiden wore adrenaline just as well as Miles, because he sprinted faster than he ever did at school.

Thoughts about the dark ones I killed, I brushed aside. After a couple of steps, we came across Aiden's body. He was lying on his back, arms outstretched, the right one clearly broken. Leaning down, she put her ear to his face. Aiden was breathing but unconscious. Venira sat down beside him and pulled back his eyelid. Your handsome boy is alive.

Mady says in my arms pushing her little body toward him, I let her go, letting him have a last moment with the baby. "Ready?" I ask him, he shakes his head no, well neither am I, we get into the kitchen where Adrian was sipping a coffee from a mug looking pissed. I nudged Jaxon to walk in first, but he nudged me back before finally taking the first step, he's the one holding the shield not me. "Daddy!" “It’s nothing, April. Just... some bad news.” She sat down next to him, her hand resting gently on his arm. “You can tell me. What happened?” Aiden took a deep breath, forcing himself to meet her gaze. “Aside from Lucifer’s pack, there’s another pack—Damon’s pack. I found out today that there was a war. Damon’s mother... she was killed.”

Despair washed over me. I froze and looked at him. "Do you really have to kill me?" "I'm sorry," Thomas's eyes softened unexpectedly. "Killing you is the only way to save you… and to save more people. I have to clean up the mess I've caused." Before I could respond, I blacked out. When I woke, I was back at the abandoned factory. The stench of blood and decay filled the air. A pile of corpses lay before me, and I was tied to a bed, unable to move.
