Alyx flashed me a grin as she slid into a capsule of her own, taking a moment to pull back her shortened hair to insert an IRON chip into the slot at the nape of her neck. The door slid closed, and seconds later Alyx was being lowered into her latest choice of mech-a grey Valkyrie, loaded down with twin railguns and her signature howitzer.
