Getting to the middle of the room, a satisfied grin curved up the corners of my lips. ‘I’m so proud of you. You put her in her place.” Kiara uttered, causing me to chuckle. “What did you expect? She tried to mess with me. No one should mess with Celine Gomez.” ‘It’s Jessica Hale now, remember?’ Kiara answered. “Regardless, I’m still a tough woman and I wouldn’t make it easy for her to treat me anyhow.”

A bucket of relief washes over my face, knowing I am not gay. Alex is really hot. She has been with me for the past couple of years as she didn't find her mate yet and, of course, no one would deny an Alpha. "Rough day?" She asks me sultrily. Oh, you have no idea. Worst day of my life.

But now, it was only me. There were at least twenty children here, which was a few more than last time. They were ranging from toddlers to older teens—and most of them looked a little shocked to see me again. A few whispered quietly. One girl with a mop of curly hair raised her hand. “Is that the Luna?” she asked in awe. I smiled awkwardly. “No, definitely not. I'm not the Luna... I'm just Kayla.” Anna chuckled beside me. “This is Miss Kayla. She’s a friend of the Alpha, and she’ll be staying with us for a little while.”

It was calm and peaceful but almost like a whisper like there was something stuck in the speaker's throat making their voice come out as if, along with white noise. The both of them turned around to the speaker, it was none other than Jelena Savage herself! The Coalition Chieftess of the Als race!

Alert, Naya watched as the door opened. Grizel appeared in an instant. But what surprised Naya the most was the person behind her. Clad in a pristine white dress, Sana Azalea took off her hood and revealed her face. Then she moved forward, almost floating as she gracefully took steps towards Naya. “Are you… Alpha Prince Kael’s mate?” she asked. Naya was silent. Who was this person and why did she want to know about that? Grizel saw the hesitation in Naya’s face and said in a haste and annoyed manner, “This person here is Sana Azalea. She’s the bridge between us and the Moon Goddess. Show your respect and answer her questions.”

Emma’s POV I was following the whole interrogation from outside the room. Kayla is doing a good work. I checked my watch it was 11:40am. I wanted to call Kate but I decided not to. I will call her after the interrogation is over. So I relaxed and followed the interrogation process. Kayla’s POV “What did he have you do?” I asked. “All sort of illegal stuff and murder. He ordered the assassination of Mary, attempted assassination of Kate and the murder of Albert.”

Alina didn't look like she was awake. Poor thing. Kaycee entered the room, long gone was that playful girl that I saw at dinner. She was one of my top assassins for a reason. Walking up to Alina, she grabbed her by the hair and placed her fingers on her nose before twisting. Alina's eyes shot open and the blood poured out of her nose and she let out a painful scream Taking my seat on the opposite end of the table, Kaycee walked over and stood behind me with her arms crossed.

I didn't know what else to say, except to be disappointed that I couldn't use her as blackmailing bait. "And the second bad news is, Anya Aled's mother, Sapphire Aled was the driver of the van Alena was kidnapped into three years ago. So it's likely Anya blames Alena for her mother's condition and is on a rampage now that she's dead." The missing keys… from Alena's cabin. Fuck. "I gotta go, Jace. Send a unit to Alena's apartment right away." I hung up the call and ran back to the elevator, but it was now going up, so I didn’t waste a moment taking the stairs.

Camella shrugged nonchalantly. Drrt... Drrt... Again, the phone vibrated. Camella decided to take a look at the phone, perhaps it was important. Message Alena Alland I just got to Washington! Alena Tonight I will go to your place :) Camella saw the two messages. Who is Alena? Could it be Alland's lover? Camella decided to ignore the message. He stood up and grabbed a novel belonging to Alland. He decided to read the novel and forgot the message just now. Camella simply flipped through the pages of the novel without actually reading it.
