All I knew was that there were more dead people as it came. I ducked under a lunging wolf and drove my elbow into its throat. When it staggered I shifted, claws sliding from my fingertips, and slashed across its chest. It went down and another filled the space like a tide. They were not stopping, and something told me that this was just the beginning of what this was going to be. “Alpha!” a warrior shouted, staggering toward me, blood streaking his shoulder. “They’ve broken the northern line! They are getting closer.”

Alex grunted from the pain and stood up sluggishly. "Hendrix, I swear by my birth that I'll kill you even if it will take my life," Alex swore before picking up the sword beside him to fight. Hendrix smirked and walked closer to meet Alex, raising his sword at him, he made a move to stab Alex again but the latter shifted and dodged, cutting the sword through his back, he kicked Hendrix's steps back. Another group of cloaked men rushed to the duo, attacking Alex.

He healed immediately. Ethan might have forgotten who Alexander was. He was a true Alpha. A sword like this wouldn't ever hurt him, and even if it did, it would heal quickly. I wiped my tears when I saw that he had healed. "You are such a coward!" Alexander barked. "You son of a bítch." Ethan retorted. "I won't spare you, Ethan Hemsworth. You signed up for death when you touched even a strand of her hair." Alexander said. I looked at him from his head to his toes. He wore a white leather jacket, and his sword was tucked behind him.

“You are becoming inconveniently persistent.” Daniel raised his blade. “Step away from him.” Gregory pressed the knife deeper. Alexander’s jaw clenched, but he did not make a sound. “Careful,” Gregory said. “His wolf core is barely holding. A little more silver, and he collapses before your healer reaches him.” I looked at Alexander. “You were told to stay in bed.” His mouth twitched faintly. “You were busy.” “This is not the moment to be charming.” “I know.”

I explained as I called the sword back to me. I stiffened as it stayed in his hands. King Alexander looked down at the sword and back up at me with a raised eyebrow. They probably thought I was lying. "Can you give it to Alax so I can." King Alexander was lifting up his hand to silence me "No need. I'll test it out." He stated as he handed it to Alax who teleported out. King Alexander opened up his hand like he was willing the sword to come and within seconds it was in his hand again.

Alexander does, too, and his movements become more defensive as he avoids so much as a nick from his opponent’s blade.
