she muttered. I exhaled shakily, my words tumbling before I could stop them. “Because I didn't want to be the girl with the abandonment story. I don't want you to look at me like everyone does.” Her face became softer, like she was pitying me. But then, my muscles tensed. I felt it before I saw it. I slowly raised my head. And there he stood. Aldric. He stood at the top of the staircase. He was still, watching us. He wasn't in his usual black shirt. Just a fitted slate-grey tunic that hugged his frame. His sleeves were rolled to his elbow, exposing the pale lines of old scars across his forearms.

"Aldric is—complicated." I looked at Cas. "Would you say Aldric is our friend?" "I would say Aldric is an eleven-hundred-year-old vampire who's been reconsidering his positions for nearly five years by corresponding with a ten-year-old about art and governance and horse parliamentary systems." Cas set down his tablet. "Whether that constitutes friendship is debatable." "Grace thinks he's our friend," Nate said with four-year-old certainty. "She says anyone who writes that many letters about horses is probably nice."

“This isn’t the first time you’ve seen me naked, Tobias. How is it affecting you now?” He raised his hands in mock surrender. “Fair point.” I sighed, already feeling the weight of the conversation tiring me. Before I could even think my father is pulling me up to the stage and smiling instead of the disappointment I seen earlier

He said, and I smirked before letting out a low growl, calling for the hell hounds who I knew would be the one thing to defeat a death eater. The man frowned before I bit whatever it was that he was holding me with. My eyes turned into a deep shade of red as three doors opened, revealing the hellhounds who were summoned by my command. “What…?” “I, Alpha Arturo de’ Medici, last heir of my blood, summon the hellhounds to kill and drag you to the hell you truly belong in.” I said, glaring at the man whose eyes widened in surprise. “Now, any last words?”

“Oh, how can I forget? He killed my wife.” “And you tried killing me for years.” Mum’s eyes seemed to harden. “My apologies, Lady Maurie but unforgiveness has always been my one flaw. But today is a new day, isn’t it?” He grinned and gestured to the lady standing quietly beside him. “Lenora, meet Grimaldi’s only heir, Alpha Dorian Grimaldi.”

Alpha Clause walked towards the bedroom to check it while my eyes fell on a paper under the plate of finished food. I made my way to it and pulled the paper out from the plate then unfolded it to see that it was a handwritten letter. It seemed like a coded message as it had only six letters on it, C, S, W, N, M, R. My brows furrowed in confusion as I thought about it for a while. I looked over at the brown haired rogue as I asked him, "Hey, do you know what this means?" I held up the letter for him to see as he nodded, "Yes and no. I don't know what he means in the message, but I know that he uses the Five Alpha's initials when he makes a plan on paper."

Daryl growls at him. “Do you not think you should have asked me that first Alpha? My name is Lucian.” his smile reveals white than white teeth. “You’re not Lucian!” I blurt out and he stops to look at me, his blonde eyebrows raised as he takes in my shaking body. “I most certainly am, little sister.
