“She needs to be aware of what’s happening.” Joseph looked at me carefully. “She froze the first time. Alice sheds a tear, and then she disappears from my line of sight when the fire pulls through. She burns to a crisp and falls to the ground, roasted like a pig for Christmas.

Luna Howell said, sitting on her bed - she was really stressed out already but the real problem hasn't started. She was on the pony in the last turn…” Saying that, Scar is already running towards the spinning carousel, her breath held, and her eyes darting around frantically as panic grabs her. Alice is gone! She was so certain that Alice took the pink pony, which was now empty as it passed Scar innocently, as if Scar remembered it wrong.

Alice blushed and averted her gaze, smiling. “First time someone’s compared me to a rainbow,” she whispered. I smiled at her and wrapped my arm around her shoulder as we walked side by side. Neither of us had anticipated staying out this late. Alice confided that she thought it’d just be a cup of coffee and then she’d head home. I told her that I wasn’t even sure if she’d show up for coffee, let alone extend the date to the park, the baseball diamond, and the waterfall. “You threw me from there!” Alice jumped excitedly from under the waterfall as she finally found the hill on the horizon where last night’s events had taken place. “How did you know I wouldn’t die?”

I looked at Bella and her melting ice cream slipping down her arm. Absentmindedly I leaned to her side and ate the entire top off but she did not even realize it and Dylan burst into a fit of giggles. It was then that I realized how oblivious she was to her surroundings. Shaking my head I snapped my fingers info of her face drawing her attention.
