Christopher snapped at Joel, trying to tear into him, but Joel kept the alpha’s fangs at arm’s length. As they struggled, Joel noticed Christopher lacked the same stench of madness the other wolves had. If it wasn’t for the fact, Joel had become so familiar with the smell of witch magic, he wouldn’t even have known Christopher was under a spell. He kicked the alpha off of him and jumped to his feet. The drenched werewolf looked at me as if she was noticing me for the first time. “Who’s the bitch?” she asked casually and jerked a thumb at me. “She is here to call dibs on the Alphas,” Vane mocked. “And her name is Witch and she is a witch.” “Wait, didn’t you wipe out all the witches in Silver Crest when you were an Alpha?” the drenched girl asked Vane.
