I just narrowed my eyes at him. “Eda,” Cygnus began, “like I said. Aliens are real. And we are among them. But we don’t call ourselves that—that’s just a human-made term. Earth has humans. We are the Tarragon species from Planet Szol. We’re very far from your planet, many, many lightyears away. Right now, we’re on a spacecraft, returning to the main Tarragon mothership, which is currently hidden far from human detection. We’ll arrive there in eight hours.”

Diana was taken aback when she saw Astrid. She had no idea how the impostor found them, but she wasn't going to leave without a fight. The six creatures surrounding Astrid hissed viciously, their eerie yellow eyes glaring at the triplets. They were strange, something none of them had ever seen. They had the body of a lion and the tail of a scorpion, with rows and rows of razor sharp teeth. The stinger at the end of their tail dripped with dark liquid.

The prospector turned his head, which caused the light to play across smooth metal. Now the human realized that there were six additional tunnels, each having its own hose, all of which terminated in a half-inflated leather bag. That was when Jyro realized that the "bag" possessed eyes, at least three of them, and that the hoses were arms, or tentacles, that the alien could extend into various parts of its ship. It appeared as if at least some decomposition had occurred, followed by freeze-dried mummification once the ship was holed.

Another bore feline traits—golden eyes, sharp ears half-hidden in dark curls, and elongated canines visible beneath a slow smile. The third was broader than the others, massive feathered wings folded behind his back, his pale eyes unnervingly sharp, like an eagle studying something small enough to snatch from the ground. Every single one of them was staring at me. Hungrily. “Well,” the one with the lizard tail drawled, a grin spreading across his face. “What do we have here?”

Rebi said someone would come to check on me and make sure I have everything I need, I sigh, turning away from the bath. Twenty minutes later the door opens, and a young alien girl walks in, shes tiny compared to the men on this planet her skin is more of an auburn colour than red, and she has two little horn on her head, her eyes are a beautiful green clour, and for some reason, I know this girl won't hurt me. She does not look at me, as I say. “Hello” She still doesn't speak as she places some clothes down on the bed before she walks into the bathroom, turning on the baths taps.

When we near the end of the hallway, the blue alien presses a pad, and the yellow door slides open to reveal a planet just as brightly colored as the building. "Wow," the other Chinese girl says as I look around completely flabbergasted by the scenery. "Kea is the most colorful plane known. Zalu, a fellow correspondent, said her human female said it looked like a rainforest dipped in pain," Baalee says as she stops walking. "That's a great way of describing it," Zuri says quietly, and I look around at the noisy land. I can't find any creatures in the brightly colored vegetation, but I can hear them and that frightens me.

My body jolts a little and my eyes snap open. Bright colors and cold air make them close almost instantly but I saw enough of the room to know I am no longer in the empty office building. I was really transported to somewhere else. That part of the mystery wasn't a lie at least. I reopen my eyes more slowly this time and suck in a scared breath as they land on a tall red woman with small fangs and black hair. I suppose the second part of the mystery was also true... Aliens are real.
