Several Weeks Later Jasper slowly eased his body onto its side. Mimicking sleep, he intently listened to the conversation between a young woman named, Cora, and the old nurse he’d heard called both Bess and Smithfield. He’d assumed that her true name was Elizabeth Smithfield with Bess being the nick name for Elizabeth, but names were funny things. He’d noticed the increasing pattern of nick names or abbreviated names being given to children at birth by parents wanting to be different. Therefore, he could have been incorrect on that assumption.

"If Mr. Sun goes too high, it gets too hot. Then it hurts our skin. That's why we have to hurry! Come on!" Graziel could only shake her head with a smile. With all of Junie's explanations, it almost sounded as if the seven-year-old had created her own version of science. Then again, Junie really was a smart child. There was no denying that. "All right, Baby." "What do you want to bring?" Junie placed one finger under her chin and pretended to think very hard. "Hmm..." "Sandwiches! Cookies! Juice! Fruits! And strawberry milk!"

With that in mind, they would have to spend two whole days on the road… While Gerald speedily drove along the highway, Juno—who was seated at the shotgun seat—passed the time by reading a book entitled, ‘Yin and Yang Theory’, that she had borrowed from Rey’s house. It was a while later when Juno closed the book for a moment… And it was also then when she realized something. “…Say, the book doesn’t specify who the author is!” muttered Juno. “Yeah, I realized that too. I wonder if they just forgot to add the author’s name in while publishing it…” replied Rey who had evidently realized that much earlier on, though he didn’t particularly find it noteworthy.

The bookshelf was just as tall as Andrew so he could easily access the books there. The bookshelf had all sorts of books, ranging from fictional novels to nonfictional novels, to educational novels and textbooks. Her eyes caught titles like; The Redwall series by Brian Jacques, Caddie Woodlawn by Carol Ryrie Brink, The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros and a lot more. Even the Encyclopedia was in his bookshelf. And there was also some novels on the basis of business and finance. The book the lad was currently reading was The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie.

Jasper stated with a hint of angst. “She’s evil inside,” Ben softly said. “You know that, don’t you?” He did, but Jasper had no intention of admitting it aloud. He’d learned long ago to keep his cards close to his chest unless it was absolutely necessary to share them. He’d already divulged far more about himself to both the witches and the wolves than he was comfortable with. Running his fingers through his hair, he sighed, “I haven’t a clue where to find a zombie.” “I do,” Ben said with a satisfied smile. “How much do you know about zombies?”

Juniper nodded her head after hearing Selena’s suggestion. The story was called ‘Me and My Dad’, and it was written in three installments that were split into three books. The plot revolved around a little dinosaur by the name of Rory and his father. In fact, these storybooks were a gift from her colleague who didn’t know that Selena was a single mother. Thus, she had never chosen them to read for Juniper because she was afraid that the child would ask difficult questions, which she might not know how to answer.
