How To Start Reading Marvel Comics Novels & Stories

He replied modestly, “But painting is my favorite non-talent related thing! Who wants to go next?” “I may be able to go.” Liam muttered, raising his hand. We all turned to him collectively before he cleared his throat and continued, “I was an attentive collector of the properties of superhero stories.” “...So you collected comic books?” Urkstin asked, making Liam turn his head away from us before nodding nervously. “Oh, that’s cool!” Akira complimented, making Liam turn back in surprise, “How much do you have?” “I…” He said, before returning to his uptight and overly explanatory tone, “I have collected all series in the marvel comic universe ever from 1939 to the present day.”

Chastity said as she put them back in the bag, “You’re turn.” I nodded, and pulled the gift bag to me. The first thing I found in it was a packaged comic book. I looked at Chastity a little confused. “It’s a first edition copy of Captain America’s first appearance. I know you’re not a big comic book reader, but I thought you might like this any way.” Chastity stated quietly, looking a little concerned. “You’re kidding?” I asked, kind of shocked.

I found myself wanting to know more about the guy. And so I started reading his comics, he opened my eyes to a whole new world. I never really read books in english. Translating everything in my head to english every time I need to communicate is stressful enough, reading would take twice the effort, read something in english, then translate it in my head, it didn’t seem worth the effort. Until I started reading his comics. He’s a genius. A talented one. I couldn’t get enough. With every series I read, I searched for the next one, until the bookstore I found started keeping the series I hadn’t read yet for me, all of them from him.

She had to admit she was curious what he was like in his natural habitat as opposed to when he was putting on airs too. “Yes but I’m a comic fan in general. Marvel, DC, Dark Horse…whatever’s good. For most of my life I couldn’t be bothered to read if it wasn’t a comic book or graphic novel but that changed in college,” Mark said with a shrug. That was surprising. She supposed she had thought he was a fan of the Marvel movies and nothing else. There were a lot of fans whose sole exposure was through the rather comprehensive cinematic universe. He was old school if he read a wide variety of the comics that inspired them.

“Marvel or DC?” I look to my left. A kid around my age, chubby, glasses, short hair. “What?” I responded. He points at my Spider-man comic. “I think DC has better characters and tells better stories.” He says. I stay quiet and just stare at him. “You don’t talk much do you?” I take a moment to say something. “I’m more of a Marvel fan. Mostly because of Spider-man. He’s cool.” I say. “He is cool. Okay next question. Who would win in a race, Flash or Quicksilver?”

He looked back at me with a challenging look. "DC?" I asked him feigning ignorance and taking my time to think. He bought my act and had a victorious smile on. "Well, I won't hold it against you but I do believe that Marvel comics are way better than DC's" I winked for closure then grabbed my second treat. "Wow! I think I should pretend I didn't hear what you just said. Marvel? really?". He kept shaking his head as if he was trying to get my answer out of his mind. "I mean Batman, Superman..... these are THE superheroes !!"

“Ready?” “Yeah, but we gotta get goin. I got the new Spider-Man comic from the Pharmacy the other day. The one where he fights Sandman for the first time? I wanna read that before we cut fatso Wilkins’ yard . . . ” *** before we cut fatso Wilkins’ yard . . .

She packed the duplicates in a storage bin and put them in her office. I smirked when she was looking at my copy of Ironman, reading the back of the disk at the summary. “This is the first movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.” I explained. “Remember when I said I would show you some movies? This is the first one I wanted you to watch.” “Okay, what is it about?” She asked. “The guy on the front looks familiar. Is this the Iron Man?”

Kelly mentioned that Martin was taking up his master. "Ugh. Stressful." He chuckled. "That's the reason why I work part-time at Aunt Rory's shop. Being surrounded by books and comics relaxes me." I curiously raised my brow. "What's your favorite?" "Mystery books. John Grisham, Agatha Christie, and the likes." He smiled. "But I'm more into comics. I have a collection of Marvel comics in my apartment." My eyes widened in surprise. "You're a Marvel fan?"

Marvel isn't growing up in a cult. Valentine lets go of my hand, then starts to strip. All thoughts of keeping my head on straight for Marvel's sake go flying out the window. Damn. Is it weird that I want to lick his chest? Just a good swipe of my flattened tongue across his firm, beautifully muscled pec.
