Aria I sat by the window that evening, watching the sun bleed into the trees. The sky looked like it had been set on fire, all soft golds and burning oranges, but I couldn’t feel any of its warmth. I just felt cold. Heavy. Like the air pressing against my skin was trying to keep me still.

*Poppy* I sat on the edge of my bed, staring out the window at the sprawling landscape beyond the mansion's walls.
