Sensing he was already decent, I faced him and grinned. "Do you want me to gather flowers and put them in your bath, Your Majesty? I know a lot of flowers are good for the skin. Rosehip is useful for anti-aging and anti-scar." The alpha king smiled bitterly. "No amount of rosehip would remove my scars, River."

Her fingers brushed delicately against soft petals as she passed. Alpha Villion watched her more than he watched the garden. A faint smile curved along his lips. “Of course it was me, my love…” Alpha Villion replied. “I gathered those from the distant mountains. It wasn’t easy to find flowers that bloom in your favorite color.” As he spoke, his eyes never strayed from Lila. She stood a few steps away from him in the middle of the garden, delicately cradling a purple blossom between her slender fingers. The flower’s petals were a deep, velvety violet, their edges kissed faintly with frost.

She allowed her finger to trace the letters of Nicholas Wuffa, an outline of a moon with a crescent moon engraved within it. Nicholas Wuffa was the first Alpha. The Alpha that survived the genocide of their kind. Below his name was Matilda Columbine, the symbol of the moon before her name had the opposite of Nicholas' chiselled out, signifying that she was his mate – the Alpha Female. The symbol together created a full moon. Alissa mused at the romanticism as she inspected other plaques.

At my request, he made sure I was okay a bit before he returned to the palace. He insisted on calling Vincent over but I just told him to forget about it because everyone was powerless at that point.
